We will miss it on the road Terrell. What are your plans for it, new motor, rebuild current one, etc? How long will it be out for? Good luck with everything and keep us updated, post pics along the way too.

Sounds like a good plan. I like the idea of going to a six speed. Starting with a fresh motor is better also, especially since you want more cubic inches. End of next year is not bad. Keep us updated.

think this had something to do with my poor performance
took of my cap and its just chillin there, not screw'd in
maybe that was the rattling sound I heard

Yeah bro that would definitely play a part in poor performance.
When we were at the Raceway I told you about my old GTA that had a badly warped cap / rotor and it ran like ----
It should definitely be screwed in and those scuff marks tell the story.
Are the threads for your rotor stripped?

heads are off now I need to order gaskets and a new water pump and some other stuff they don't make a performance distributor for my car so I just gonna reuse mine and a performance ignition module and of course new cap, rotor, and plugs I'll use some loctite on the rotor screws and keep an eye on them

not burning oil not a knock more of a rattling sound but that was after it was reduced to driveway duty and I think it was the rotor flying around in the cap and it wasn't consistant. but the knock sensor was seeing knock because it was pulling 18* of timing out but that could have be from the coolent in the oil and all
don't really know if it was a crap rebuild but I say it all the time cause, I've had problems with the car ever sence I had it rebuilt plus they dented my runners and the assemby was really messy. I don't think they(serria cylinder head) put together the bottom end it supposed to be balanced and they had my car for about a month and for the first 2 weeks they said they were wanting for the short block to come from the machine shop so Im guessing they sent it to someone else to be balanced
If the head gaskets don't do it a hole new motor will be built for it, but I hope thats the fix. either why I'll be building a motor for, it justs will I be driving it or will it be in the garage
-edit-
I changed the oil(looked good) in november two days before the meet we had then the following monday I took it to bennies shop and thats when I found out it was pulling timing so I drove it home and I haven't driven it sence(just in and out the driveway to let mom out the garage). then in january I checked the dip stick and thats when I seen it had coolent in the oil, and then a while later I put it in the garage

Hopefully it is the easy fix of a head gasket and you can you're Camaro back.
I tends to think they shopped out the lower end rebuild like it was stated earlier, so you might be ok.
I've ran my Chevy's on ALOT more questionable lower ends but...
Either way you're still getting the other engine built, so I'd go for it too. Get her done bro
Hopefully you'll have better luck than I've had lately.

the latest.......A/C delete
I have everything out. I have an A/C delete box off an S-10(was told it may work) but I think it looks better with out the box so I'll be getting some sheet metal and cut and paint it and drill holes to bolt it in place of the box. but I will still see if the S-10 box works

if anyone wants/needs A/C stuff let me know everything is good but the box as you can see I broke it but it was already cracked really bad
here is the S-10 box and the stock A/C box......fan/motors are interchangeable between the two

Looking good Terrell, how is everything else coming along, good I hope? I know you guys like the AC delete thing, but I think you all are crazy, especially on days when it's 100+. I love driving my thirdgen and staying cool during the summer.

the reasoning for me deleting the A/C is I never used it in the 5 years I've owned the car. I don't think you even get 5hp from deleting the A/C, Im sure you benifit more from deleting the weight than the rotating mass
