i need a motor
hey guys whats up long time no see? I'm here to ask a favor from somebody any body please!!!! i need to get my hands on a lt1 long block with heads for cheap any body help me please or one they know bout that is running but has alot of miles on it. my 305 is bout to take a **** and i need some thing quick cause i have the parts for a lt1 o rebuild but not a 305 so what do u guys think any body help me out and or what the cost are going to be i got a sound system i can trade or get cash if needed so urban what do u think man? krails u to man any body please help!!!!! replay back if u know any thing Ty

IMHO you aren't goint to find any LT1's that aren't a complete motor, or "cheap".
If you are looking for cheap, I've got a complete 305 TBI motor from a 92 RS with 80k on it, ran good, good compression.

I know of motors for sale, one or two stock, the rest built. You'd be better off with vins 5.0, the LT1 swap is unpleasant. If you still want to go that route let me know and I'll see if I can find you a motor.

hey outkast i got a pair of my old l98heads freshly rebuilt with zz4 springs with 1200k on them and a new zz4cam. they will work on vins lo3. let me know if u want them

I was just about to suggest we put a new cam in it.
By replacing the cam and heads with the stuff mike has, you would get a huge boost in hp, I'd expect that, with tuning and new injectors on your TBI unit, you could see 275 hp with that cam and heads easily. Wouldn't be a bad little motor. I'm sure mike wouldn't charge you too much for the cam/heads.
I might even be able to help you build it

His compression ratio will go down slightly, but the much, much higher flow will more than compensate for that. Stock L03 heads are pitiful at best.

Very much agreed. I think they would even benefit from some home dremel porting!
They have the potential to flow 210 CFM, however stock I think they're about 170 or so. I'm sure someone in here knows.

I have a 89 Vette motor (Long Block) sitting around. Don't know how many miles are on it. I took it out 2 months ago for a bigger motor....

how much em i lookin for that l98 long block? im from fremont u are right over the grade so hit me back and what dose the long block come with? heads can cam right stuff like that i belive? u looking for money or a sound system?i got my sound stuff if u would like to trade man or would u want cash for it let me know

Well I could get a set of LT1 heads pretty cheap, but that wouldn't be much help to him

My L98 long block. Block (350), I'm guessing 4-blot main (Have to take the oil pan off), Aluminum heads (113), Water pump, TPI intake, fuel rail, injectors, starter, flexplate, balancer, oil cooler...
I was looking for around $500...

I've a 350 I pulled from a wrecked '78 4x4 a few years ago, seemed to run fine for the few minutes on and off the trailor..you'd need to get a different flywheel/flexplate, but for a c-note you can have it.

i have 95- 99 880 block full roller hmm pistons are out of it but do have them and conecting rods crank its at the machine shop no heads but a buddy of mine has aset of center bolt heads freshly done he thought his heads were damaged but it ended up being his intake i think he wanted 200 for the heads 0 miles
