he said fox body so most likely its a 79-93 although I believe ford still used the fox chassis through 04

Im not a mustang guy but I think the "fox body" usually means 79-93 and sn95 is 94-98 and sn195 is 99-04 but I could be wrong

I don't think it would be like when we raced

I think you'd have a good run with a nice Fox 3.45987256409

Sorry to hear that you conformed / went to the dark side.

Fox Body Mustangs are '79-'93 generation.
The most common reffered to ones are the '86-'93 which is what I'm sure this kid has.
SN-95 refers to the '94-'98 generation when the body/chassis changed.
'94-95 had the last 5.0s, the later years sported a 4.6, all being heavier/not as cheap to mod. as the Fox Bodies.
That's the reason the kids want them, decent platform and cheap to go fast.

SN-92, 95, 2000 could be refered to as the old Paxton blowers too, which is what you'd need to make those ugly Fords go really fast.

That's today's lesson for the day class, happy holidays!

i know. i've got the thirdgen pride for sure.
i have to say i'm just glad that there is going to be at least a handful of really quick 3rd gens around town and nearby this coming year.
i know y'all like to compete who's faster, blah blah, but for me i'm just glad there are folks out there who can represent the 3rd gen fbody having some ***** and that it's not all about having some brand new toy.
hopefully i will be able to join that club even more as that's why i take so much pride in my ride.

i dont think you'll beat anyone here except maybe travis and terrel cuz their **** doesn't run

But it will soon

Sorry to hear you got a mustang.... Dont go too fast around corners or you'll end up flipping over a railing, sliding down a cliff, rolling several times and ending up with what you had in the first place.. a piece of junk.

Yeah let's see a pic of this sweet ride I'm sure.

This kid kills me, talkin' 'bout having six different fbodies and now a mustang, and he's like what, 17?
I guess that's how you learn.

Where did this "six thirdgens" figure come from?

I thought it was your teacher's car or mommies car or something like that on dyno day.

dude ken didnt u read what i put in the other thread? I've seen a trickflow headed, e303 cammed, properly tuned 306 get SMOKED by a bolt-on LS1. Most of us here are running/will be running faster than that. It's all a matter of displacement. You'll need to go forced induction if you want something fast without getting more cubes - and all forced induction does in essence is change the cubic inches of an engine by creating more static pressure.

Hopefully you keep the Rustang under 4k too, porkyzilla needs some money so then I can make some money

kinda hard to believe when a stock 95 cobra's 5.0 was rated at 240hp

Travis, most stock Ls1s put 305 to the wheels. That Cobra has just over 200 at the back wheels. Something tells me the guy in the Z28 didn't even know he was racing

And outkast.. that's not a foxbody LOL...

now that I think about it, IT'S WORSE!!!! You got the same motor, in a HEAVIER BODY!!

lol i didnt really understand what you said travis.. but yeah at least it's faster than the RS.

although i believe that 245 was at the fly... not the rear wheels.

oh ken 3.4 says he wants to race your "fox body"

Sorry to see you go, nice looking car, one of my favorite mustangs besides the true foxbody's. I also have a very hard time believing you beat a ls1, no way man, especially if your stang is stock. Something wasn't right, other ls1 either didn't know how to drive or didn't know he was actually racing. Still would love to see you out sometime so we all can race and smoke the slobra, lol. Except for me of course, anything can beat the old cross-fire for now, lol, so I will just watch.

hah, this is true, BUT, horsepower #'s sell cars, torque wins races.
'95 Cobras only have like 285 ft-lb tq.
No match for my TPI in a street race.

btw, didn't i beat you in a street race even though i had less power on the dyno?

. .posting in tahoe now

you did, that was my last race with the tpi

you had me on the launch, plus our cars had like 15hp difference, a drivers race, and i suck at driving.

its ok though, i want a rematch soon!
