Ecstatic new Thirdgen owner =D

Took a two hour drive down to Oakdale with my mom this morning to the house of 8Mike9, and drove home my FIRST Thirdgen! It was quite a long journey home with a minor hickup, that black plastic piece that attaches to the rear of the front GFX fell off its front screws leaving only the back screws so it started dragging, nothing a bunjee cord couldnt fix The car rode BEAUTIFULY the whole way. I was very impressed with the steering response as compared to what I usually drive. I'm used to about 1/6th of a turn's worth of play in EACH direction at 65mph, and thats a buttload of play especially at high speeds. In this car...no way. You nudge right and YOU GO RIGHT.

Some info:

1991 Camaro RS T Top, original engine code E. 168,000 miles on car.
New 5.7 TBI about 5 years ago, 60,000 miles on this motor
Rebuilt 700R4 with approx. 20,000 miles

Needs cosmetic work, i currently have the seats out and am giving it a good cleaning, but I saw it as a great place to start given the drivetrain. Cant wait to start fixing things up!

Ya know, talking with him, I think he'll be cool for a bit, good thing is he has a 4inch bore to work with if the urge arises it's plenty quick as-is, not 12 second stuff, but won't be looking at the taillights of too many imports if the urge hits him

And really, isn't that the way a RWD SBC powered car should be?

I love "new person" and "new car" posts where I'm supposed to use my fvking imagination like a 5yr old.

After x amount of beers the imagination just stops.

Yes, I was trying to sell the car as a roller...I only bought it because I knew the history of the drivetrain (I knew the PO), but got no bites as a roller, so instead of having a hulk sitting out back going to he ll, I decided just to get sell the car.
