the car is 88 firebird transam. I had macco repaint the car. I chose their best option. I have just put on a new set of tires for $450. It has slp runners. It has edelbrock tpi base intake manifold. It has headers, new cat converter, hooker cat back exhaust system and chrome tips. I threw in sport seats, those are not the expenssive ones. THe brake rotars are like a year old. The radiator 2 year old.

has the performance package.. suspenssion etc.

Steering is a bit lose, been that way since i bought it, never really bothered to fix. Its in the stearing gear box. if you know how to remove and adjust or just replace than its not a problem

ohhh just short of 160,000 miles.

That might put you in Northern Nevada from where you might be.

Just sayin'.

Hey guys, does anyone have a carfax unlimitted car check account?

1G2FW21F9JL236349

I know it a tpi, even has the performance package and all. but a free carfax check tells me its a TBI!!@$@#%@%# I know it is a TPI just by looking at the engine. Unless it was changed long ago, but then do i have a 350 TPI. But it had aero wing and all which never came with TBI. NOW im confused or carfax is just missleading to make me buy a real car fax.

Please help

Please if anyone can help generate a report through their account I would greatly appreciate it

Thanks

PS. I just checked somewhere else for "free" and now it tells me V8 MFI and instead of 16 records now its 20!. Cant they just be honest!! Still need help

Sam,

Put a tarp over it and let it sit while you are gone. Better yet, find a friend who will turn it over periodically and take it around the block. You'll only be gone a couple years at most and you'll likely enjoy having some wheels when you return.

Take care,

Cadillac

Interesting. You are a member of the US armed services or is it another military?

Perhaps not helpful but I would give you a grand for the car sight unseen. If you would consider this at all, I'll want to see it.

I get it. That's a good looking car! You shouldn't have any problems selling it. If you do, my offer of 2K will not expire.

Can I ask where you are from? I will understand if you don't want to say.

Might want to correct your ad description as it's just a T/A, not a GTA.

I think the name is "Samer" and he is from Sweden. At this point I feel like I have a good feel for the car based on all the previous posts he's made on the forum. I could do 2K but I would need to know real soon in order to get that money together. This time of year is rough you know.

Here's another idea Samer... I could sell the car for you. Involves some trust but I guarantee the market for that car is better here and in Idaho.

Heveryone, japp ill do 2000 but i need to give it untill wed next week as i just placed an ad in the local paper. Cadillac were are you located? Ill also give you a receipt of like either gift due to owing you or ill just put whaterver you want

It has the WS6 package, I though it was for GTA only maybe i am wrong. The vin number should sort it out.

Cadillac, does that sound like a plan? ill know by the 20th but probably by the 18th if i find a local buyer.

Also, ill only be around till the 26 night... so it will be tight but im sure we can make it work.

thanks,
Sam

Lots of models had the WS6, T/A and GTA.

I can just tell by the picture you posted.
It has the vents in the fenders and a Trans Am/Firebird spoiler.

I had that put on when i repainted the car. THe aero wing was in pretty bad shape. didnt only GTA come with aero wings?

Anyway the assembly ( those small dont know what to call them that are welded to the hatch frame.. ) are still stuck to the back windshield. If in the future someone wants to put an aftermarket aero wing on it, its ready.

I'm in San Mateo not far from San Francisco.

Do you think this car will make it from Idaho to the Bay Area? I'm guessing that is an 800 mile trip through some harsh conditions.

This might be more than I can pull off...

Here's to hoping you find a local buyer for more cash in your area.

hello,

well the ad came out in the local paper today and had two call me, one came to see it and drive... he has had many and has a 99 TA now. Anyway, he offered $2,300

So, i will wait to see the other guy and then on friday the main ad goes out in spokane so i should get more people.

Either way i think ill be able to sell it

800 miles could be a long drive. I think it would be okay though as long as you go easy. and not rev high all the way... Had a cousin buy a car to drive county seeing and left chicago and then in Montana the engine was pretty much dead ! it was an old car but they had paid 2 grand .... well plane tickets would have run the same for the bunch in the car.
