New guy here
Hello all,
So Cal guy here with a recent purchase of a '98 IROC. I haven't owned a Camaro since '92 so I'm really looking forward to enjoying the car. The last five years I've been into Corvettes, I have an '01 coupe and an '06 Z06.
I have always thought it would be cool to have a third gen again... just came across a deal I couldn't refuse.
New crate motor, new 5 speed, new interior and lots of mods. All work is recent and done by the local Chev dealer. I'm going to put it in the paint shop as soon as I decide on a color, since my vettes are black and silver, I may do one of those.

Took the IROC to my painter. He did custom paint on my '01 vette and my Silverado SS. He told me I was looking at about 7 grand for the complete paint. He said to do it right he needs to pull the engine to get to the firewall and fenders. I was leaning towards Silver. Anyway, I decided to repaint the original color so I don't have to pull the engice. Since the Chev dealer did all the crate engine and trans, no need to create problems down the road. So I can spend a little more on other stuff like, have it wet sanded and polished. Replace the front and rear facsia and all the light lenses. So I'm guessing around 5 to 6 grand. I'll be keeping the car for along time, so what ever I do to it, I'll be enjoying it for awhile.
Anyone have some tips on wheels & tires? Gonna lower it about 2 inches after paint.
