Next Mod for the Camaro!!

Well after going to that gtg last weekend, my dad went crazy on me. You guys inspired him so much that he called me yesterday to tell me this

"How much does it cost to add Heads, Cam, and Intake for the LS1?" I told him how much. I was going to wait for a couple of years before i did this but he wants to do it right away. So guess what..... Im adding a Cam, Heads and Intake plus some little others goodies while im in there. OH YEAH!!!! So im going to start all over again on the car and finish the car the way i always wanted it to be.

Im going to take the car to grudge fest on the 26 to see what it does and then i think the car is go under the knife

If I got this right, you are going to take the hottest third gen out there last weekend and make it even hotter. I'm good!!! Good luck with it, please post your times before and after in here, should be interesting.

HAHAHA thanks for the comment LOL... Well i predict that i should be in the high 12's when i race it on the 26. Maybe i should say Low 13's something like that. I estimated the HP with what im doing. Just with the Mods alone i should add around 70hp and maybe some more with a good tune.

Awesome Joey, I'll try to make it out to Grudge too.
I'll bet we'd have a close race.

It's the addiction. I'm guilty too!

Ask yourself -- does it really ever end?

Re: Next Mod for the Camaro!!

With 60k into my '54 that still needs paint/interior/wheels/tires and stereo I can say, NO! It never ends. It's my curse or hobby depending if your talking to my wife or me. Keep in mind, I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, so it's a much healthier vice. Just as addictive and expensive though !

Expensive is for sure. I didn't know how expensive until I started on this project I'm in now. About to pull the motor to rebuild and have a 454 gutted sitting in the garage waiting for me to get to it this summer, might go 540 though. The 502 blocks are a decent price now, around $500.
