Re: New toy!!!
WOW, it looks better now that it's cleaned and organized. Congrats. Geez, There 's another competition for Ramair(Joey).
Let me know if you have any question on install or minor tuning.
Looks like we need another GTG to show some progress of our beloved money pit cars.

Re: New toy!!!
Cool man. Keep us updated on the progress.
If I remember correctly, this is the Paxton SN-2000 kit that went from valencia -> Marc. Hope you have some good luck with it.
Hopefully it received better engineering than the older SN-92 models that had frequent lock-up/rebuild issues.
For the price I'm sure it will be fun to throw on there and see what happens.

Re: New toy!!!
It is the same kit. I have spent the last three days reading 1000 of posts on various boards relating to this unit. It is actually a relatively decent unit. The problem is it can not rev. It will last for a long time if you keep the rpm down to 39k or lower, and keep clean and cool oil in it. I will be upgrading the pump and putting large tyranny cooler on it, I am thinking about getting a cooler with a fan built in. There are a lot of mustang guys with 60-70k between rebuilds on these units, and they are easy to rebuild. Also I found out after I bought it that it has the upgraded impeller witch is good for another 2 lbs of boost or so. But it is still low boost, I will probably make 6-7.5lb with how restrictive my motor is stock heads/tpi/and exhaust (makes 8-9 on a 302 can be pushed to 12, but you will fry the ball drive). After I upgrade my motor it eventually it will make 5-6lb with better flowing parts, but should give me about 80bhp anyway, more if I build an intercooler. I am exited; I think it will make a fun project.

I'm glad it went to a good home & a Firebird too! Letme know if we can help. I was really looking forward to putting it on, but just got addicted to Laughing Gas. Just got my new Stealth Ram, 58mm Throttle body, MSD injectors & rail, New Brodix heads will be here Wednesday. We sould have it running within a week or two. Should squeek out low 11's on the bottle.

Re: New toy!!!
I am going to change out a few parts, and am looking around the junkyards for an intercooler; I will definitely need you on the pluming welding after I get it mocked up. also I found out that the pulleys I have will fry the compressor, it will hit its 40k rev limit at 4600rpm
and 40k is "technically" overdriving it, manual says 38K (4,400rpm) no wonder these kits have such a bad rep on tip's, I am looking at new crank pulley, and I may just swap to a 8 rib while I am at it. Anyone know were I can get or borrow a beam style torque wrench that measures inch lbs? I need it for setting up the compressor.
Thanks all.
