4th Gen Swap
Ok, so i have decided to fix all my wiring, since i don't know what the hell is going on with it.At the same time i want to do a 4th gen Dash, console, seat, and door swap. Any nor cals done all of it? It would be nice for local guidence.
I have decided to go with the T56. So when i do the 4th gen conversion i will do my trans swap. I wont have to get the dakota switch deal. So my car will be down a few weeks.
I have plenty of beer in my fridge btw.
Chris.

Re: 4th Gen Swap
Chris, to be honest it would be much easier to find your wiring issue than to swap over all the 4th gen interior stuff which IMO is a downgrade.
Is it your lights flickering deal from the meet? Make sure your ground straps are there and battery connections are clean and tight.

well if i can get a dash with the 3 vents i could put gauges in one of the vent holes. As well as have cup holders....which is a big deal. It dosent look right to smash the console into the dash. Plus pad replacement will be easier.

Why dont you just get the 4th gen center console and have cup holders? Changing a dash pad on a 4th gen dash easier? No way, Look how monstrous those things are...

Cup holders are not really necessary if you have legs or a passenger
I'm with Bully, have you ever tried to replace the dash on a 4th? It is **** and a complete unit.
3rd gen, a couple of screws in the back and some underneath and it pops right off.

Re: 4th Gen Swap
I want to break mine down to nothing then come back with custom Fresh..who know's might not even get a console. Just Build a custom fiberglass one or Aluminum. I used to tig and mig real good, but i think fiberglass would weigh less. Then i can just have boot touching the floor. I expect to dump a ton on this car though. Wire what i need and take alot of "Problem Areas" away. It just looks tacky to me. I like the old school motor and frame look.
Side note i was pulling panels and painting this weekend and got to look at my spare...looks brand new with no road wear...i was in shock.

Well nice dash pads are costly but can be found, I thank God mine was perfect.
I'm all for modding trust me, I just prefer 3rdgen interior to 4th IMO
I love my analog 145 gauge cluster!!!

I agree. I love my interior.... And yes, I love the red! I just want new carpet and rear cargo plastics.
Go for it. Make it yours, but when you cant figure out all the wiring, you are going to get pissed and start breaking stuff. That is what I do atleast.
