Okay, the motor hasn't swapped quite right now you know, but it'll be mostly done this week (knock on wood). Now, I know that the smog tech is going to know something is up when they pop the hood and this giant "5.7 liter" air cleaner sitting on top of a tbi unit is in the place of what should be a 5.0 carb.. my question would now be, where would I expect to find a smog ref? Also, i have headers on the 350 WITH a carb sticker. is that cool?

stockton, modesto, sacramento all have smog referees. I dont know where else. good luck.

you might want to look at the dampner 305 and 350 are totally different? 305 is much wider and if they are on there game they will notice and know something is wrong ? just something to think about?good luck!

The smog ref, after going over the car with a fine tooth comb, is going to recertify the car as a 91-93 Caprice. That's a legal swap provided everything is hooked up.
