First Start-up!

Well, I started it and it ran rough, so I adjusted the timing, and warmed it up a bit and it was running good.... But there was a squeal, so I looked at the belt and my buddy put it on too tight, so I loosened it... same noise. So I was like meh... then I was like this isn't right. Shut it off, and check out the belt and it was smoking. So I touched it and it was hot, then pop... my NEW belt broke... Which wasn't too bad I guess until I realized it broke because my Smog Pump and magically seized, and because of that, the belt got hot and took out my AC delete pulley, so I now I have to order a new pulley which will take a while to get here... And I am going to buy a new smog pump and belt tomorrow.

Well, thats my rant... Can't even start to break in my car... grr

Re: First Start-up!

You can get a dorman AC delete at oreillys usually. If I get time ill look up a part# for you. Otherwise you should be able to go down there and get their book and figure it out. And don't u just hate how nothing ever goes smoothly?!

Damn, I just ordered one from ebay. Shoot. Ill give them a call and check though.

I decided for now I am going to throw the ac unit on, with nothing hooked up and just use it for the pulley.

Oh okay, the 350 you were selling at one point. Cool! You'll like that XFI and maybe see some 12's!

Re: First Start-up!

Dumping fuel now and no start. What's going on... its like an instant flood and won't start. Has spark, air, and too much fuel. WAY too much fuel.

Re: First Start-up!

Fuel pressure regulator bad and fuel is being bypassed? Im not TPI guru so I may be totally wrong. improper working Coolant temp sensor telling the engine the wrong temperature so maybe its dumping gas because of that.

Re: First Start-up!

Okay, here are the video's...

First Startup

The Second Startup was the same pretty much, but it shredded my new belt and tore up my AC Delete pulley because of a seized smog pump... no clip...

Third Startup with new belt and the ac pulley put back in as a temp

And here is the first drive... Fun Stuff... haha

Good time to run out of gas

Ask me how I know firsthand that these cars are incredibly hard to push uphill

Haha yeah. That was where I was heading... when I pulled the car in the garage to pull the engine it was cutting out. So I knew it was going to be a pinch.
