Nothing beats Hookers
Hooker Headers that is. After wrestling my Hedman's out this afternoon, I unwrapped my new ceramic coated 2055's and they slid right in. No prying, no fighting, no scratching the hell out of them trying to get them in. I only wish I would have bought them to begin with. They are significantly heavier duty than the Hedmans, which I really liked, until today. These 2055's are much more well designed, and the y-pipe is a thing of beauty. I'll post some pics tomorrow, only took about 4 hours start to finish. Not bad at all.

That's all I got right now. I'm tired and dirty, LOL, don't feel like going back into the garage. I'll get some shots in the light tomorrow.

You think those are sweet you should look up Lemons headers or Ed Quay.
I'd take those over Edelsnot TES though! You also have those silly little tubes on there, all kommiefornia like.

As is often the case, you get what you pay for! Any dyno info on your car before and after the header change, or just done as more of a cosmetic thing?

Congrats on the headers have you noitced an exhaust note change or any performace worth mentioning? Why the change? Was there any problems with the other headers you had on?

Re: Nothing beats Hookers
I hope you reworked the 2 1/2" ball connection before you put them on, it is seriously undersize where it meets the Y-pipe. (about 1 3/4" to be exact)

Hey Dyno Don! Show these people who has the best overall headers for the Thirdgen f-bodies. They may be still lost in the old world.

I don't think Don's headers were readily and easily available when I bought my Hookers 7 years ago. If I was ever going to change and wanted to remain smog legal, I'd certainly consider them based on what I've read and seen.

Re: Nothing beats Hookers
I'll try to address everyone's that's posted so far.
dspencer24 : My old hedmans had some scratches and the ceramic coating was not very good to begin with. I had wanted to rework the y-pipe but got a good deal on these hookers and decided since it had the nice big y-pipe I went that route. I definitely noticed a better sound with this setup, but that could also be in part because of the magnaflow(carsound) cat that I used to replace my old Catco cat.
Here's a clip from this afternoon. http://youtu.be/mUEn9R7cQr4
Radical82 : No numbers before or after. I did however dyno my old L98 bone stock except for catback and then with hedman headers and picked up 20rwhp. Went from 214 to 234. Also had another L98, a 91, pull exacty 20 rwhp with the same headers on his Z28.
DynoDon : I did not modify anything at this time. I've got access to a lift at work so I can always drop the pipe and modify it later. I will likely dyno it before and after to see if it does much, but most header designs seem to restrict somewhere in the vicinity of the collector. My hedmans had a huge 3" collector, but the y-pipe choked them down to 2 maybe 2 1/4". I'm happy with these the way they are and don't really think I'll mess with them.
Here's the only pic I have so far, they're kind of dirty but man do they shine. I'll post some pics up this weekend since I'll finally have nothing going on for a change, and a chance to work on the car before Pac. Coast Dream Machines

Re: Nothing beats Hookers
Everyone down here in SoCal that are using his headers are passing smog with no problem. If you may have doubts, take the tag off the Edelbrocks and put it on his.

Nice Will, I heard good things about the 2055 headers, unfortunately I have dual cats, I may I have to look into Dyno Don's headers.

Re: Nothing beats Hookers
You could get the 2055's, sell the y-pipe, and run a custom setup. It's a pretty simple design to run it to the stock cats
