Thats what I'm thinking, but I would hate to load up the trailer and drive all that way for a scam.

I was thinking the same thing, but if it was really sitting for 20 years could be true.

In phoenix if that car REALLY has 16k miles its worth an EASY 7k NOT running. Bout 12k if its running and in "Decent" shape. Check out Phx craigslist. There is a '90 IROC 'vert with 67,000 miles going for 17k (Or something like that.)

With 116k its worth around 8k running... It would be worth it, I just dont want to spend $600.00 in gas on a "Dry run"...

 

I bet the ad is legit, that car is beat to ****, only thing going for it, is its a straight body vert.
I bet the engine is crap, and the top needs replacing, along with the whole interior. glass is probably so gummed up too.

Engine is blown. Hasn't even had an oil pan on it in 20 years. Spoke to the owner, it pretty much needs everything. Figure $10K or so worth of work - probably more if you want it mint. With that said, if it wouldn't cost me $1200 or so to get it to Chicago, I'd probably buy it. Hope someone saves it. I could be wrong, but I think the miles are legit.

Yep! With the parts I have on hand, I could probably fix this car for around 2k, with new paint, interior and top.

 

JMHO, but if this is in fact an all original, 16K mile car, it would be a shame to "restore" it with random parts you just happen to have on hand.

I know what you mean. I have some of the stuff (350 motor, rear spoiler, the oil pan, etc.) I would probably have a friend who owns an upholstery shop re-do the interior. I'm kinda picky about the quality of the build. Anyone feel like checking it out?

 

The guy has been trying t osell this car for almost a year now. At first he said "someone put sugar in my gas tank so the engine is probably shot.."

 

Hmmm, interesting to hear. That was a completely different story than he told me.
