Need a tune up

My Camaro is running a little sluggish and I think it's time for a good performance tune up. Anyone have recomendations for a good auto shop in the San Jose / South Bay area?

Why do you need a shop... Your tune up.. will only be plugs, wires, cap, rotor, maybe a new coil

Re: Need a tune up

I've already replaced plugs, plug wires, coil and distributor and set the timing and it's still not running real strong. All the injectors were replaced 2 years ago so they shouldn't be the problem. It passes smog with flying colors and it only has 75K but it's just doesn't have the punch it used to. I think I need to get it scoped to find out what's going on. It revs strong but sometime sputters and has slight backfire as I back off the gas. Any ideas?

quick lesson when making a post you state need a tuneup... Correct
now you state you already did this... it's your car.. not one person here or any site knows what you did with your car...
you now state your really having issues....
this is where you should have started your post
so clue in the board what is really going on
you should check you fuel pressure with a gauge

Re: Need a tune up

Your right. I should have been more specific in my initial post. I was looking for a recomendation for a good shop in the south bay so I could have it checked out.
If I was looking for help diagnosing the problem I would have listed what I've done so far to try to correct the problem. The car runs fine and just doesn't have the performance it used to. I did check the fuel rail pressure and it was within specification.
Still looking for a recommend a good shop in te San Jose area.

LOL. I can't see ever parting with my vert.
If the engine is blown I'll be looking for a 5.7 to drop in.

Re: Need a tune up

Smitty, try adusting the TPS back to factory setting and also re-adjust for min air at the IAC. These things often go overlooked, but I have done this on a couple cars and noticed a difference right away. Also some other stuff we could try.
