T56 setup

T56 setup

Hey guys. I have an LT1 T56 setup and am raising funds to switch to an LSx based setup. Anyone in NorCal interested in a complete swap kit?

Flywheel/Ram HD clutch/McLeod adjustable hydraulics/trans/SLP short shifter/Spohn crossmember.

I can probably deliver or meet halfway. I'm in Reno. Post here or message me privately.

I hear an LS1 t56 is the way to go on a gen 1 now with the ease of conversion bellhousing and compatible bearing. Plus the hydraulics are better. How have you been Jeremy? I dont lurk 3go anymore, I hear its no longer in existence? Are you back in the thirdgen game or onto another project?

The Borg Warner ones still work very well, in fact I've heard they're supposed to be stronger than the Tremec ones. I use the McLeod adjustable hydraulics which I think work phenomenally well too. I just didn't really want to swap the front plate to work with an LS1 bearing/clutch. I guess it's an option though.

I've been good, thanks man. I guess 3go is now defunct. I mostly hang out on Facebook and Twitter these days. I still have my 91 Formula, probably no other projects for a very long time...

I just bought a setup from a guy in Tx and had to pay for shipping... Too bad you were about a week and a half late.

Plenty of fast F-bodies run stock T56's...
I paid 1400 shipped for everything - clutch. So I still need a clutch, flywheel resurfaced, and a swap crossmember.

That's what I was thinking. 2x overdrive. With your gears be a nice cruiser. Could actually go up in gears some too..might be something to look into..

I dont know if I would go up in rear end ratios however. The extra acceleration would probably make my tires go up in smoke faster then they already do!
