2014 car resolution

What are you going to get done on your car this year? Something you've been procrastinating on. Been wanting to do etc...

I am gonna get the rest of my parts needed for my motor. Gonna rering my block. install some new heads. install my 4bbl tbi. get her all tuned out. and get a run down the 1/4 mile this year. And gonna pick up some nice seats for the car. and get a nice tubular torque arm

Re: 2014 car resolution

where's your car resolution Joey? You can put to make one pass on it in March 2014 and then leave her for 2 years with Anthony so he can make sure she says in tip top running condition for when I return........if you'd like

My plans are all new from suspension ! Tubular everything ! Hopefully that will fix my squeaks and pops and unwanted noises coming from the front end also some new strut towers and a ST brace ... Then a N2O kit (100 shot plate).... And try to get my suspension in the rear tuned for the track ... Along with lots of Ebl tuning

oh stop! put a new flywheel and call it good. obviously that one was defective or something. yeah I know your rear end is gonna blow next and you know that too. and the person who would buy the car is going to know that too. you put too much time and work into the car to not get it completed.

Re: 2014 car resolution

almost got my lift set up...til the last dang stud pulled out (wedge type) and now there's a hairline crack where the baseplate is. Looks to be running into the control joint (guess that's why they tell you not to place them near those things) . Oh well, guess i'll get to pouring a new slab eventually Tired of not having my car to play with

It's really more about having the room in your garage than it is cost of the unit. Barely fit, and it's the short model. Went between the rafters on the one side, put a picture of that up later when I'm on the comp. Anyhoo, tell Mike hi if you still keep in touch. Ttyl

The same long list as last year. And the year before that and so on. Might at least start with battery relocation. Can't be hard. Can it?

Mine is not too lofty a goal. I resolve to DRIVE my car this year, come hell or high water. Not just talk about it and throw more money into it.

For 2014, looking to do Spohn tubular suspension front and rear w/tubular torque arm, plus LS1 brake kit up front.

looks like my 12k pound bend pak rack also although where the arms go on looks a different. we didnt like the mounting so we added metal on to extend so we didnt have to put so many studs close to eachother.

Dang, all sorts of action going on in here!
Must be the generic title opening up to all thirdgen.org posters.

Im going back to school. Im not going to have time to finish, so its all for sale.
What are you going back to school for Terrell?
If you're local still I may be into a couple parts.
The end of a very long 3rd gen dream for you!

Bendpak 9k, 113" model that has the safety cable running along the floor. No way I could have fit a standard 145" model in my garage. Okay though, this will be plenty good enough for me. Beats jack stands

For me, it's to get the Turbo and a Cam in the Iroc and also get some paint on her. Maybe I'll run the Nitrous for a while. Also to get my girl's Iroc running this month.

Re: 2014 car resolution

Gonna start a few small mods on my stock 5 speed LB9 G92 Iroc. Have SLP headers I recently picked up re-ceramic coated. Install headers with locking stage 8 bolts and Earl's reinforced ring header gasket. Purchase and install new 8mm Taylor wires with wire protectors. Wire up a heated o2 sensor in my header bung from a separate added mini fuse box. Install aluminum third gen GM driveshaft. New tires. Get a chip from Tuned Performance that will advance spark timing and what ever else he suggests that will free up some ponies. Install new console lid and replace plastic upper door moldings with the good ones I've had sitting in my room for about 2 years now lol. Change rear differential fluid. If I can get all that done by the end of 2014 I will be a happy camper. Then I will worry about saving for paint and interior.
