together again????
As you all know warmer and nicer days are ahead, so my question is are we going to try to set a date of a thirdgen gathering? Of course this "date" should be a few months down the road so we can clear our own calenders. Plus, once again a location is in need. I'd like to think it should not be at Bandie. What do you all think? June and July are almost always nice.

Well hell, how about July 6th? That is a good weekend to be out and about, being it is right after the 4th. As far as a location, I'm not to sure, maybe we could do a run up to Blackhawk or something, or we could try the Adams County Fairgrounds again. What do you all think?

Depends on the day, but I'm up for it. I've got to take my son to a soccer game on Saturday morning, and I have to go to my Neice's birthday party on Sunday. If you've all never driven Riverdale Road out by the Addams County Fairgrounds, that would be well worth the experience of doing so.

I see tons of thirdgens out there, some are nice but most of our cars need work. Now it seems to me if they are not on this site they don't know about a gathering. So even if the first meeting is only 5 to 10 cars, these people may stop to see what is up and Whamooo, the next meeting is 10 to 15 cars. Plus all those people will learn of this site and share even more info. Also Mcdonalds if fine with me, 2 for a buck. Heck, if I only had some Thirdgen.org cards to pass out to the people i meet. I'll have to work on that.

riverdale? i live off of 104th and steele, its like 5 min away and is a total blast to just do from 104th to highway 7 and back, in fact i was there yesterday and i saw another 3rd gen cruising north on riverdale (think it was a t/a but i dont remember, i saw more 3rd gens than usual on mainroads yesterday so i get em mixed up), anyway the mcdonalds thing was sarcasm, we should definately set this up like a month before we do it so we know people are gonna make it, we should also all chip in to get thirdgen.org advertising cards printed to hand out to parked cars.

Colorado f-body is going to have a car show this Sunday, the 27th, in Commerce City (North Denver). I plan on being there. I know some of you guys don't want to hang out with the 4th gen crowd, but we could still meet up. More information can be found here http://www.coloradof-body.com

I have that whole week off. I can deffinately come up for the weekend. I do that all the time anyway because my wife is from Denver. 6th of July sounds good to me. I think it should be in the Denver area this year just to build up a base. Maybe next year set up a cruise to Blackhawk or Cental City.

I would like to meet up on the 6th. I live in Commerce City, so the fairgrounds would be a good spot for me. Hopefully by then I can get a paint job. I got rid of my Berlinetta, and picked up a Z. My 84 Z28 is sitting in primer, with a red hood. (just replaced). Anyway, the 6th sounds good.

For some dam reason I could not post under my old name of 2birds. So anyway I'm still set to do this on the 6th of July also the Adams County Fairgrouds will work fine. I'll give them a call to make sure they don't have something big going on that day, or if someone has a better idea......

As far as what to do hows this: maybe for a hour or two we check out the rides, the mods and get to know our fellow thirdgeners, then a nice cruise up riverdale, or someother destination. Idea's???? I personally think a line of thirdgens off on a cruise would look badass.

So anyway I did call Adams County Fairgrounds today and talked to Melanie. She said nothing was going on that weekend. There is no price to get in, and no limit to people. Most of us may know how to get there, so if we agree this is where we are going to meet, I'll post directions for those who don't. We have two months to work this out let me know.

Ok, my scanner is on the fritz, so give me a week to do what I need to do and then I'll post some maps. I did go to Coloradof-body to see how the show and shine went. It did look good but it was mostly 4th gen stuff. They did have a sponser, but it looked liked Checker Auto Parts just gave the ok to be there, I could be wrong though. Anyway our gathering is just us the few,the proud, the thirdgens.

I went to the show and shine and I had a great time. There were only three thirdgens there because there aren't too many thirdgens that knew about it. Everybody is/was welcome. There were two ZR1/LT5 vettes there that nobody complained about. If Neo didn't have to work, another guy didn't forget, and my car was runnin there would have been three more thirdgens there. There were also a lot that drove by, but didn't really stop.
Again, and I stress this, the reason there weren't thirdgens there is because not too many thirdgeners knew about it or had their car running.
IIRC, a firstgen took first place, so it doesn't matter the year of the car, we(thirdgeners) just need more representation.
Later,
Jesse

I was gonna make the trip up to the Show and Shine but I've got 2 nice scratches on the front of my car so that's why I didn't show.

Sorry everyone my scanner is down due to my 15 month old tring to scan her apple juice So if someone can post a map it would be cool. You can find them in the phone book (yellow pages) or cheaply at any gas station. I don't have the cash to buy a new one sooooo. Help me out, I do hope this all pulls together still.

Ok I went to mapquest and got the latitude and longitude.
Latitude: 39.93
Longitude: -104.8750
I'm sure everyone can find it from there. What time is good for everyone? Thanks B4Ctom1 for the mapquest idea.

Provided that there are no paintball tournaments that day, any time is good for me. I thought that someone said July 6th would be a good day, but we should make it official and set a day, whatever day that is. I'll be there at any time, so long as there is no paintball tourney's that day.

I'll make up a few signs so no one will miss the turn off of Riverdale.
Something like: Thirdgens and a arrow.

you live in parker? I work off of exit 193 (lincoln ave) and i live in thornton, its a long drive but working at a golf course is well worth it, also where inside the fairgrounds are we gonna meet? Im sorta familiar with them and i live off of 104th so i can go search around the fairgrounds if i want. I would think on the west side of the lake by the playground might be good, any ideas from anyone else familiar with the area?

I agree with 300hpse, by the playground is a great idea, I'll have signs posted to go there also. And sst the fairgrounds are roughly 128th and Riverdale. Riverdale is East of Colorado Blvd. Look at map quest and the latitude and longitude that I posted earlier.

Well crap guys I'm going home to MO for the weekend of the 4th and I won't be able to make it to this gathering but everyone have fun and hopefully we can schedule another one for a little later in the summer that I can attend.
