I have come up with a possible solution for this whole deal. A national boycott on racing imports. We can form NIRA the "No Racing Imports Allowed" organization. Its goal is to keep any domestic iron no matter how slow it is from racing Imports or any riced out domestic or sport compact ever. Continuing to race them only results in adding to thier legitimacy. We should just simply stop racing them. Put a NIRA sticker in you window and "just say no". If an import pipes you don't even aknowledge their existence. Usually ignoring a problem wont make it go away but this is driven by popular culture. Make them un popular and maybe they will go away. An added benefit could just possibly be that our manufacturers will quit producing this tripe of a car type as well? BTW for those of you who dont know "NIRA" is also used by the NHRA's import racing league.

. The higher the RPM, the better air flows through the engine; the better the air flows the engine, the better compression you get, which in turn, builds up more horsepower
and better compression?LOL wow he really is a tool

Some of those "excuses" are legit though.anything about cops, bald tires,or turbo problems could be true, but most of the time they probably arent.good thread

Never in my life have I seen such an idiotic, uninformed, dumb, person. That has to be a joke.
On another note, if anyone really is interested in setting up a 'NRIA' (No Racing Imports Allowed, I don't want to get sued by NHRA), let me know, I'll see about starting a website.

wow, that article really enlightened me, It showed me how dumb i am. all my life I had been thinking the camaro was the mustangs counterpart, but stupid me, the mustangs counterpart has been the civic all along. and now with all the extra air from my open element on my L03 i must have 100:1 compression.

ok that person has no idea as to what they are talking about
I don't think that would be a reason to ban all imports or to think bad of them. not all are like her.......
that would be like saying ban imports because of that topaz guy
whatever his name may be
fraid to bring it up being he might come back

That is the most rediculous article I have ever read in my entire life. I have never read a more misinformed or inaccurate statement written on paper.
I would not wipe my aZZ with a printout of that article. It's like a public toilet. You can pee in it or put your cigarrette out in it. However it's too nasty to crap in.
I hope to *** that woman does not breed. It would most certainly cause the gene pool to become much shallower than it already is.

"My name is Alexis Carmichael. I am from Miami. I like
long walks on the beach and enjoying deep
conversations discussing the philosophical meaning of
life. I am currently unemployed (read: spoiled) and
go to school at FSU. I love cars and I run my Type R

I highly doubt that this woman could enjoy, let alone, HAVE a "deep conversation discussing the philosophical meaning of life..." dumb B|tch don't even know what an RPM is, yet she is willing to share her (lack of) knowledge with anyone who is cruising the internet. And as far as "long walks on the beach," after viewing her picture... Well, insert your own joke here. I prefer something to the point of "Must be a Pizza Hut at the end of the beach!" But someone more clever than me will come up with something hillarious.

Damn, I shoulda gone to FSU. Try to pass something like that off as any kind of paper aruound here (Old Dominion) and you'll get thrown out on your ***. I can't believe that some teacher actually gave her credit for that piece of crap 'argument.' I feel the overwhelming need to bitchslap someone.
Oh, yeah, I bet my Integra is faster than hers. :lala: :lala:
