Grrr...I'm working this tuesday. I hate short notice. Besides, I really want to get my car on the road again, and more $$$ will always help. So I'm saving all the cash I can.

I found a performance rebuild kit for 700r4's, its about $200 minus shipping. I still need to get a front pump too, and those are looking a tad bit more expensive than I originally thought.

 

i saw one on e-bay the other night for $25

 

if you guys want used front pumps....or two 700's for parts or to play with (i know it helps to dig into something useless so you can figure out what your doing sometimes before you do it to your car) i've got a pair you can have, one has a b&m shift kit but fragged 3/4, the other works perfectly but was a 4.3L van trans, so it's got less bands (or so i'm told), they're free to whoever is interested...think i have converters for both of them too, and the 4.3 converters are supposed to stall higher

 

Is the converter from the 30-spline? I don't trust any of the converters I have. I'd rather pick up one that wasn't behind a blown tranny.

If the front pump is still good in the 4.3L v6? If the pump is the same as a v8 700r4's then i'd use that one too, only if a new pump for a V8 was too much money.

the converter on the 4.3 trans fits the v8 trans, and as far as looks go, the pumps are the same, if smoky gets back to me about the wheels, i'll be up that way today and i can meet you and give you that trans, i dunno my way around up north, but i think smoky lives up there by I-80...

 

ontogenisis The tire dont have any curb rash 1 has 2 little nicks but i never had any problem with them goin flat at all.

I only have 1 trans right now. Ill talk to a buddy that had one with a blown 3rd gear and see if he has it or junked it yet. hopefully ill talk to him tomorrow
