What's wrong with it? I might be able to help ya out too. You know that the stock fuel pressure regulator is adjustable if you just drill out a cap right? Well, let me know what's up.

well let me give you all some more details..now that Im in front of my own pc. first the 323 gear blew out in my rear end my brother and i installed a used 342 gear that we have for now. well after driving it for awhile i really liked the 342 gears but not enought top end so so i had a new l98 cam sittin in my house so we decided to put in it. no problems taking it all apart timing chain was really bad .. well we put everythign back together with new timing chain and the car didnt start. well after my brother realized the distributpor is 180 off the car starts now and he set lash and everything and it starts but runs really bad still. the exhaust makes that poping noise after like 1500 rpm's witch means is running really lean. and my brother said that the o2 sensor is show lean all the time. right nwo the timeing is set 4or 6 degrees advanced . it runs better there then at 0. next is to pull th etbi unit and drill out the plate and try adjusting the fuel pressure atleast to get it to run better then it is. after that i want to get some data logging done so i can get adn chip burned .
Hey BronYrAur you gonna be up this way anytime ??
if anyone else has some spare time and wants to come help me that woudl be great as well. i have my truck to drive but i woudl be nice to get this running pretty well so i could take to the track before they close for the yr.

Well, I won't be up there for a few weeks probably. I'll let you know.
With that cam you're probably a little rich at idle and lean mid to top end. You might as well bump the pressure up a little bit for now, just don't make it too rich at idle. As soon as you can get the datalogs though it'll be easy to fix I think. It just needs the fuel straightened out as it did already with the intake and exhaust mods. It's gonna need quicker advance too I would think in the timing. Once you get the fuel straightened out you could probably add more than 4 or 6* of base advance actually or just do it in the chip, which is probably better. But, I know a lot of guys on the TBI board that did cam swaps just advanced base timing to 8 or 10* with an LT1 cam and they ran, not well, but ran.

prob on saterday now that i have tyhe tbi unit off we are gonna drill that plate out and adjust the fuel pressure a bit to get to half way running again. we have a snap-on scanner so i can tell if its lean or rich at what rpm so i can kinda get by until i can get a cable or buy one and get some really good logs . i know deanh87 just got some prom burning stuff so im going to try and get ahold of him within the next few days so see what i can do.
Ya just let me know when your comming this way. atleast if the cars half way driveable maybe we all can meet and get it running really good. I know it was lean before the cam swap anyway, i know all it needs is some tuning and i bet it woudl be in the 14's now.
