Some of you may already know that the 305 tpi we swapped into my bird in the spring threw a rod friday morning. Thisleaves me in a delicate situation. I have the 97 to drive, but it was supposed to be parked for various improvements, one of those being paint, and i am at the mercy of my painter. He wants the car by a specific date to make sure it is done by a specific date.

So i need something to set in my bird quick. I have a line on a motor that will need a rebuild, but i am also looking for something that could be dropped in and driven.

I have the tuned port and all the access, so i am basically needing a decent long block.

If anyone can help, let me know,

 

I have the motor from my z it did run and it was a tpi. It did not run that great but did run. Does not have the heads on it.steave got them. If u want it u have have it for free. Just come get it out of my garage.

 

Jared (the kid with the black 89 t/a) is selling his 383 short block. has a slightly larger than stock cam. $1500

 

What about the guy selling the L69 longblock? You could probably pick that up cheap and run with it till you can rebuild the 350.

 

i dont have a good motor but if you need my help let me know. as long as im feeling ok im there for ya. also let me know if you need the hoist ( we owuld of course ahve to put it together) .

 

i have the complete 91 bird for sale...the motor runs with 135,000 miles on it....you can have the whole car for 1200.....take t he motor and part the rest!! car will drive home no problem...lots of spare parts for your car!

 

Aw sorry to hear that man. If it makes ya feel any better, my car decided to blow an intake gasket really bad that day. I had to stop to fill up with water 4 times on the way home from St. Charles! Had it apart all weekend. Just got it timed and running right Monday finally. And now I'm pretty sure I need to replace the alternator soon too

 

That L69 has 110k miles and he only wants $130 for it. Not bad as a "quick fix". I wanna help ya out when ya do the swap..
