How do we make you participate in 06?
I know who will be there when we set something up.
Its always almost the same group of people.
How do we make the other 60 people who post here on a reg basis show up?
We do things that range from free car shows to dinners to everything in between.
Should be something that fits almost every budget.
Location wise we have had get togethers from NW IN to Schaumburg, so at some point everyone had something within20-30 minutes from them(not all I know, but 90% did).
So you folks that we never see out, how come your never out?
Even with a busy life, most stuff here that is more than a mild get together is planned with well over a month lead time. So why dont we see some new faces?

I'd love to come out to cruise nights and everything, but car isn't even close to done. When the enigne and tranny are built and in the car, I'll be able to attend all the cruise nights. I'd feel weird going to them with my ford explosion

Once the car's rolling I'll be attending....now that the holidays are over I'll finally have some time to start knocking out more things on the car in order to get it to a shop for the exhaust to get fabbed and get the PROM going

I dont think he really cares if your car is running or not, just come out with your daily driver to say Hi and meet a few of us

Yeah, not having a car or only having a six or any other issues u have dont count.
Doesnt mean u cant come out and hang with the rest of us. I drive my Saturn when my cars have me po'ed lol
But either way I'm there.
Sides, I cant really think of anything we have done that has actually been considered expensive.

i will possibly attend events this year if you dont care then. ill bring my achieva, and race anything lb9 or slower
i think the only people ive met are brandon, dean, tj, dylan when he was still around, and tony that had the red z that got wrecked, has a blue one now, not sure if he posts on here though

Ahhh....I didn't know about the regular gatherings in the past, I figured they were all car gatherings...everyone gets their cars out and meets up to show them off and cruise around. I haven't been on TGO much in the past few years since my car's been in progress and school was keeping me busy....I didn't really know about this local section here...only MFBA.org. Now that I discovered it I'm looking forward to some gatherings...

I wish I could find at least 2 people where I am located to participate in something like this. I know there are a few but most are too far and beyond to participate. Best of luck on your gatherings and I wish I could get at least 3 to get a gathering going.

I have one word for all you beater car people. Escort. I drive it everywhere. When it dies I fix it. When the other car dies, i fix it.
Hell, hop a ride with someone if you are so embarrased about not having your car, or need to share gas.
BTW, I may have a apt warming party, but for right now I'm just trying to get things settled in. I have, 1 knife, 1 fork, and 1 spoon. Thanks Tim and Mich, I don't feel like a savage anymore.

Gotta drive it when one of my 3rd gens has no windows and the other has no drivetrain
I probably won't be out much until after mid-March when I get a paycheck again. Gotta keep myself in beer and smokes on a budget. lol

I think this is a good Idea!!
3.8 Trans am What dates are you thinking on for this get together??
I'm new to this board (found it one day searching for engine parts!) but would be interested in partisipating (sp) in meet and greets

I dont set up events :-)
I help coordinate and do whatever I can to see them happen.
If u guys have something good to do down there, than take the lead and see if u can drum up some interest and get it off the ground.
We have rented Rt 41 Dragstrip in Morrocco the last 2 years and this will be our third.
Hoping to have a date finalized before the end of Jan.
Most likely somewhere in the May-June area.
For u guys who dont have a thirdgen currently or its in pieces, but are in the area, come on out, doesnt matter what u bring as long as we get people to participate.

I might come to show off the car and watch i guess..
