Did I drive the farthest at 700 miles?
I live about 50 miles west of STL so it was a good 11 hours on the road today and 700 miles. Anyone come from farther.
We drove from Kansas City and I think our total mileage for the trip was around 1600 miles thats with a little sight seeing in Chicago. There was a quite a few nice cars that attended the meet. Was this was the first event at Dennys house and was the turn out as big as expected? Had a great time and hope to do it again next year. i know a lot of people drove quite the distance to see the gathering. i hope you all enjoyed it. this was denny's third year having this event. First year we had 13 cars, second year was around 50, this year i think had 72 total, we were hoping for 100 cars, maybe the bad morning weather killed it--don't really know.
you may all remember me i was cooking the hot dogs on the grill on the porch. anyways there were some really nice out of state cars that i was impressed with. hope you all had a good time.

After reading this, i really wanted to say how impressed i am with the people who drove a long way.
Its nice to have people who say they will show, actually show up.
I mean, guys down the street did not show, but some of you managed from other states. Anyways, its encouraging, and thank you.

After only startin the TA once a month for the past few months, and never being driven, it made the trip for me just fine. I managed to get 23 mpg at 80 mph the whole trip. After all the smoke cleared, it was right around 500 miles round trip for me...coming from Des Moines, IA.
