Yes I did thanks to my my trusty GPS. Did you? The cars filthy now though... damn the rain.... all that hard work up in smoke.
Speaking of smoke anyone get any pics of Steve's smoke show?
All in all a great show and great to meet you guys! I'm looking forward to next year... hopefully my car will be looking up to show standard by then.
Oh one more video....

Doesn't look like quite the turnout we had last year. That whole back row was gone. Were those pics taken early or something?...

Re: Pics of Third Gen Fest
It wasn't early. I wasn't there last year but I can imagine the lower numbers was due to the fact people didn't want to brave the rain / cars not finished in time. A good tun out considering the drizzle I thought.

Re: Pics of Third Gen Fest
I have been to all of the Thirdgen Fest and although the numbers were not as high as last year the quality of the cars was the best it has ever been. The race for awards was quite competitive. I would rather have qulaity than quanity. It was a great show. I am sure rain was a factor and unfinished cars as well. But then again when will our cars ever be finished?

Yeah after I got my hood shut everything was cool
I did get a check engine light halfway home but I think its cause I was running my 305 chip instead of the 350 one(the car has a tendency to die at low RPM with the custom chip I have).

Re: Pics of Third Gen Fest
I really don't see the haha in your post. If you was not there then you are part of the problem, not the solution. It is easy to sit back and critisize but hats off to those TRUE THIRDGENNERS that braved the rain and showed up anyway, instead of those that waited for the pics online to say "that's not much of a fest". Glad you was not there. Haha that!

Re: Pics of Third Gen Fest
Lots of shows will have more cars but you'll never see more thirdgens in one place than you will at Thirdgen Fest. It's EASILY the largest 82-92 Camaro/Firebird show anywhere. We had about 50 cars here this year which is about 25 cars less than last year but the weather was bad and definitely kept a bunch of cars away. What's most impressive is that the majority of the car were in EXTREMELY good condition.
We've got a VERY loyal group of people who were willing to bring their cars out regardless of the weather. There's not many shows anywhere that will bring out fifty cars on a rainy day with storms and tornado warnings in the area!!! Thanks to everyone who braved the weather and made Thirdgen Fest '07 a success!!! We couldn't do it without you!!!
We hope to see everybody at Thirdgen Fest '08!!!

Well, I guess I was part of the problem and not the solution too.... I wanted so bad to be there this year but , family obligations kept me away! Lots of very nice cars there! My 89 t/a is far from those....... but would still have had alot of fun meeting and mingling everyone! Next year things will be different. Ill make that trek from Portage, WI to wherever it is..............

I say this every year"If your **** ain't ready just bring it. The under construction area is usually a good place to see works in progress". Very disappointed that there were only a handfull of WIP's there this year. Everyone starts a project at different times in their life. It's just getting to the point where the cars are all starting to look supurb. Don't let it stop you next year. I spent 3 years on the side yard. But everyone knows me and my passion for these cars. We are all looking for new and GOOD ideas. If we all just sat in our own garages and looked at the one car you are workin on where would our inspiration be.
Remember Steve won Best Camaro modified by bringing a Carcass of a car. Now look where he is at! Well...don't look at him on the floor.

Re: Pics of Third Gen Fest

imagine this car with no hood, fenders, doors, front or rear bumpers, I think I may have had a hatch....jay definitely stripped it down for the paintwork. Those weight reductions sure made the car fast though....It flew down denny's street for that pass.

Looking back on this pic....the car sure has come a long way since then

Thats Denny's car. It is a 3X,XXX mile original car. He has owned it for several years. The one to the right of it is now mine. It had grey GTA Wheels. It was Denny's, also but I picked it up from him a few months ago,,

Re: Pics of Third Gen Fest
Was the longest distance to the show ever get recorded?
If so, how far and who was it!
I too, was part of the problem, as I had the plans made for the show, but last minutes changes in life prevented me attending.
Me, both of my sons, and a brother all have 3rd gens, so I know we would have added to the show.
I am always looking forward to the next show, and hope plans work out in my favor.
Here's to you guys, for attending, and hosting the show!
Leon

Of what?
If your trying to stuff one out of a GN into an F it wont happen the same way that it does in my car :-)
TTA got a decent amount of different stuff, not insurmountable but not dead swap either

This looks like alot of fun! just one question..
is it enough fun to warrent the $200 in gas that itll probably take me to get there?
also, at that time this year, my cars as likly to be in shamful state of reconstruction as it is to be in a shiny new coat of paint. Are there any problems with this?
nice to see all those super bad 3rd gens by the way. The yellow TA is to die for
edit: would anyone happen to know offhand who the owner is of that cazy nice yellow TA ?? i would like to talk with him/her about their paint color, as i'm seaching for the perfect yellow for my iroc.
