i would guess some suspension mods:

sfc's, lca's,relocation brackets

performance tires
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
port the tpi stuff

full exhaust

good stall torque converter
some gears

that stuff should put you in the 13's i would think

Then get real heads and cam. :lala: Do you not want to buy heads or do you not want to take them off at all. If you just dont want to spend the money, I would take them off and port them.

i don't think sfc's will do anything for your ET, although they're still probably a great modification. and i was under the impression that lca relocation brackets were only necessary if the car is lowered.

definitely really good tires, full exhaust, port work, gears, and a converter. that would probably be the quickest way to get there, and probably necessary if you want to do heads and cam later

lca relocation brackets help on even stock height cars but are needed pretty bad on lowered cars. SFC's I dont think help a lot but are a good idea and will help prevent the body from twisting and possibly apply traction more evenly.

Come on guys. An exhaust, gears, converter, shift kit, tires and some suspension should get you easy 13s. Then port the intake and heads and you have easy mid 13s!

I think a converter and gears would have you close to 13's.

Actually, it was the 305s that made 210. I think that the 350's in 87 made at least 225 or 230.

hmmmm i´m almost 100% sure that the GTA from -87 had 210hp the -88 had 225. The -89 had 235 with dual cat option and the - map 90 thru 92 had 243hp. but i could be wrong!!!!

Go here: https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/techdb.shtml It says that the 87 305 auto made 190, the 87 305 5 spd made 215 and the 350 made 225. The 90 350 made 245. If I remember right a lot of that extra hp came from the exhaust and the rest was probably the different computer and map setup.

I doubt that is right because I doubt that the 1985 305 cars would have made as much hp as the 87 350 cars. Also, it only lists a 5 hp increase in 87 if you got the 350 option over the 305. I doubt it made that little more.
