Anyone want to do an E.T. prediction on a high HP setup?

I recently dynoed my car. I am running a boosted 355, through a th400 and a 12bolt It made 741 HP at the wheels (about 900FWHP). This motor is in my 88 firebird estimated weight is 3450 with me in it. I am running 355 gears and 28x11.5 et drags. (Transbrake will be used also)
The car is just about ready to hit the track, so lets hear your predictions!
Thanks, DonB

Assuming you can get all the power to the ground through a 11.5" slick, it should run 10.1 @ 135 mph.

What are the specs on the motor?

Hmmm, that is rear wheel hp guys.
T.Hess ran 10 less hp on the same Dyno, and with the same weight firebird ran a 9.27@153... So I was thinking I would be running about the same. I will let you know how it goes.

It's all based on power to weight to come up with an ET guess. On the other end of the scale, how can a 260 HP Stock Eliminator car weighing 3500 pounds run 12's? It's not just HP but torque and how well it can be transfered to the wheels.

You wanted a guess and we say low 10's. If you think it will run low 9's then take it to the track and find out for yourself.

rwhp = 9.72

rwhp x 22% (fwhp 926.25) = 9.52

just a rough estimate, but it's a start. It's hard to estimate ET times outta boost motors because they vary on how much they pick up when under load (remember the load @ the strip is more than on a dynojet)

You guys were right on the money with your estimates.
I went 10.02 @ 144 the first time out. The air fuel ratio was less than perfect at 9.1 to 1, so a little tuning should get into the nines. Just wanted to let you guys know how it went... Thanks for your help.

At least you gave us specs to work with. Having dyno results and knowing the race weight can give you a very accurate guess on performance. I see I was a little low on the mph but very close on the ET.

It's those,
I have a xxx cam and headers. What will it run questions that are out in left field.

With tuning, mid 9's shouldn't be a problem.

Very nice
