I know this is probably the worst topic on this board but I'm going to ask it anyway.

I have a 86 IROC w/ LB9 automatic spining 3.23s.

I have installed AC Delco cap, rotor, and plugs.
Accel H.O. coil with 8mm wires.

Slight hesitation from idle to 1500 but I plan on locking the torque converter at about 1600 and manual shifting. Also the car runs up to the redline really fast and I don't want to blow the motor due to lack of funds so I have to let off to shift and step on it again.

I was just curious what times could I expect for a baseline?

Any input will be appreciated.

i am going to say around the low 15's.

 

86 iroc 305tpi huh that was the worst year i think im gonna say low 15s if it runs the ***** but if its like the rest of the 86s probably mid 15s 15.5-15.7 at 86-88 mph

Nah, worst year for the 305 was in 82 Never ran mine stock but have seen numbers in the 17's published. My car ran a best of 15.21 @ 90 mph in hot humid weather.

 

82 wasnt a TPI 305 was it? sorry i was reffering to TPI injected 305s
