1.7 on 18's
1.7 on 18's
tried out the new bfg 18" dr's and well i was able to run a consistent amount of 1.7 60's over the weekend. not bad at all for a 18" tire, cold weather and a worn out rear. whom ever said you can't look good and go fast just doesn't know.

there was a vette running much lower then that on the same brand but a little wider. better rear and a tad more power.
definately need a rear but i was happy with it. had a bit lower but it wasn't consistent. we pretty much only ran 1/8's that day.

Are you running the G Force DRs? I'm kicking myself because I bought the Comp T/A DRs for my stock wheels because they didn't have the right size for my 18s. Nitto only has a 305/40-18
Now I findout that the G Force comes in 245/40, 265/40, 275/35 and 295/35-18.
I have the stock stall so the best 60ft I could pull was a 1.86
If I can equal that with 18" DRs and look better then I'll go with those instead

i was taking it pretty easy not to break anything pulled an average of 8.23 @ 84 granny shifting and not double clutching like i should.

That's prolly a high 12. I ran 8.5 at 85 mph in the 1/8 with a 2.1 60. That turned out to net me a 13.2 at 106 mph in the 1/4, so with your much better 60, but less mph, you should be about high 12's.

actually the two passes i made at 1/4 were low 12's. the car has incredible top end. thanks for the guess though.

Yeah I don't see low 12s out of an 8.2 1/8 @ 84MPH with a 1.7 60ft either
My best 1/8 runs are 8.169 @ 85.1 MPH (1.89 60ft) & 8.179 @ 85.3 MPH (1.86 60ft). They both yielded 12.70 in the 1/4 @ 109 MPH. This is with the stock stall converter and I have more top end than you I'm pretty sure
Either way I just want to know what size DRs you are running

you guys are funny...........
i told you some of the times you can figure it out for yourself and the car doesn't have nitrous people. this post is on the 60 and they were 18 295/35/18's.

with y rated toyo proxies in the same size the best 60' was a 2.7 with the norm being a flat 3 so to drop that much is a pretty good indication that they work, wich is the point of the thread for anyone interested in knowing how they work....
