Auto-X Classing
I have never raced an F-Body in an autocross so I am totally lost as to where an IROC would be classed. My first guess is F-Stock but I thought I'd see about getting some additional input.
Specs:
1990 IROC 305 TPI / 4spd AUTO
COMPLETELY stock aside from rear adjustable air shocks
Would this still classify as F-Stock or would the air shocks put it in another Category?
Again, I've never raced a F-Body and especially nothing more than 3.1 liters so I'm a bit lost.

Your car will not run in F-stock with headders. You will be in E- street prepared. Or you may run in one of the new street mod classes if your region has them.

Yeah, I am just referring to her 90 IROC, not my '87.
Mine has about a year or two before it sees ANY kind of track.

If I am looking at the right car, it has a 305 so you can run it in STX if you want. In my region the STX cars are running faster than ESP so I would not do this but your region may be different. Damn the WRX!

Don't let the WRX's bother you, if you put enough lead in it so it weigh's as much as you car, it would be a DOG! I ran an autocross this weekend and finished 2nd to a supercharged moostang in FS class. talk about unfair! I'd like to see him beat me without it! Next race, I'm protesting!

all i can say about it is that the engine was designed by this man:
and the only way i got it is by sneaking in there and then escaping with it using my jet powered goped!

my "engine description" is nothing but a big joke.
the term "three quarter race cam" is a old saying that just shows what a idiot you are... what the person saying it means is that its a huge cam thats almost for a race car and is bearly streetable...
but the term 3/4 race cam really just shows that your a idiot.

I resent that statement! 3/4 cam designation is a term used by racers that were doing it probably before you were out of diapers.
They are big enough that if you don't use a vacuum reserve can, you won't have any power brakes below 1000rpm. I might be an idiot but mr dude is a liar, Look at the pic of his goped! He doesn't even have handlebar basket to carry the engine in! I think someone snuck some nitros in his oxygen mask he's wearing!!!

In stock class you can run R-compund tires, any shock you want as long as it bolts up in the stock location and are not coilovers. You can also change the FRONT swaybar. You can also run a catback.
ESP is more flexible. You can run headers and some other engine mods. But the suspension is where you can mod the most.
STX is for the street tire crowd.
I have run both a WRX and a Camaro. It really comes down to the driver , the course, weather and how the cars are prepped. Just like in any other competitive event.
I am no expert by any means, but do enjoy dodging the cones. I came in second locally for ESP for the season a while back... On street tires...
