Mid 9 second pass on video

I finally got video footage of my car taken from last October up on the internet just recently. For those of you that aren't familiar with my car, it's got a "mild" supercharged 509 BBC that runs on 92 octane gas. It's a back-halved all steel car that has a full factory interior (sans rear seats), and dual 4" Flowmaster mufflers. Race weight is just under 3500 lbs. I just broke into the 1.2's on 60' times (1.29) with no trans brake or 2 step, on an overcast 50*F day.

I almost forgot - the video is in my sig line.

Forget that T/A. How fast did the car next to you run?

...nice launch, wish my Camaro could do that

Thanks for all the comments guys. I've got more video footage, but I pretty much used up all the MB's of space my cable ISP allows me.

BADDEST305, I can hear your vid (sounds like one bad ****), but can't see it. I even tried to view it on a computer from work. Can anybody else see it? Anyway, keep us posted on your car's performance progress.

daverr, It's an 8-71 with 2 lobe straight teflon tipped rotors, overdriven 15% - good for 10 lbs. of boost. I'll be experimenting with race fuel and putting a smaller driven pulley on it to raise the boost some time this summer.

Mark305TBI, I always wondered what that guy in his black Omni GLH thought when I left on him like that.

I'm looking forward to going back to the track possibly next weekend, and maybe getting some in the car video footage, so you can better experience the whole ordeal from the driver's perspective. I made an aluminum bracket that will mount the camcorder to my rollcage, just behind the front seats.

BADDEST305's video requires divx, IMHO if you download and watch a lot of videos then get it, otherwise you are just going to miss a couple videos every now and then.

thats an awesome ****ing run, i remember seeing the launch pic a while back...

thanks for postin..

I downloaded divx and it worked. Thanks for the help guys. BADDEST305, your Camaro really moves!! If you get it in the 9's with that small block and no juice, you'll have some real bragging rights.

BTW, don't even try to hi-jack my thread!!

2.73's Suck, I almost do the same thing myself when my car launches. It feels like I just got rear-ended by a semi truck going about 40 mph.

Mike, that is one bad *** car you have there. I hope that I can make it to Ubly, when you're there some time. That car is sick.

f-crazy, between my odd/erratic afternoon shift work hours, and other responsibilities lately, I haven't driven it much on the street the last couple years, but will hopefully be getting it out more often this year. Since I'm from the east side (Fraser) and have never driven it on the street much past Woodward, it's doubtful that the car you seen was mine, but I keep hearing from different sources that there is a "clone" of my car somewhere in the area.

I'm tentatively planning on heading back up to Ubly on Saturday the 15th. Will keep you guys posted.
