Edit: did'nt work, if somebody knows what to do send me an e-mail, does it need hosted somewhere? let me know. Vid is in windows format j.meighan@mchsi.com

Dont know if I'll be able to post this-first time trying a mpeg.
I was able to con c-u-later into coming up and running with me this weekend at our night of fire and must say the pictures he has sent and I have seen on the board here in no way do justice in how clean this car of his actually is. Talk about a true show/race car WOW!! His wife Patti does one heck of a job making sure that thing is beautiful after each round making it look as if he never made a pass and by the attention the car got all day/night the work paid off!!!!

Was his first time running the 1/4 since he does the 1/8th mi. thing where he's from and it sounded like he had a blast. REgardless 2 of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

Anyways, they brought up their digital camcorder and were nice enough to grab a few runs for me so thought I may try to post one. Air was not the best this weekend and my tires were shot and I made it as far as I could with terribly inconsistent 60's. This is one of my "lucky" runs with an impatient competitor.

Ended up pairing off 1 round out oif semi's with the points leader again, cut a .504 to his .548 and he won the race by .0003-you read that right, best stripe racing I had all year, but I was way off my number so the R/T was the only thing that kept the race that close.

Think I sent it.

They're having another night race on the 14th if your interested in that. I know your car was running pretty consistent last time you were out, might be worth coming down and getting your R/T fine tuned a little so you can kick some azz!

All motor

Street race was LAST Sat. sorry We had a short day of racing Sat. since there were'nt many cars out, I was on my way home by 8:30pm so that was nice for a change instead of 11:30.
I was gonna stay out there and play around for the night race, but my old roomate had a surprise birthday party so I headed over there instead. The way I felt Sunday, I shoulda stayed and raced.

Need to add this edit too. I was having a problem getting consistent traction with the Hoosier Quik Time Pro DOT slicks 28x11.5. They worked great the first 4 races last month I entered, but the harder compound required a John Force wanna be burnout for maximum sticky and at the end of the month they were literally shot. This time I'm trying out a set of M/T 29.5x9 full slicks with the soft compound and a set of tubes also to help stiffen the sidewall. These new tires are hooking great and require just a mild warm up with hardly any smoke what so ever so hopefully they'll last longer.

Downfall, I lost .2 and 5mph with the added heigth of these things. I'm going to wait until this winter to set-up a new 3rd member with 4.56 to get my rpm's back up there. I was crossing at 6700 and now I'm all the way down to 5900 the 60's stayed about the same, but are more consistent only varying .002-.004 but I just lost all my rpm up top. I always shifted 1-2 @6000 and 2-3 @ 6000 then trapped at 6700 which was more than okay with me, rather short shift and get longer engine life than pick up the .03 in ET-plus this way short shifting if I feel it spin I know the motor has some power in reserve to compensate. But amount I lost with the taller tire is totally unacceptable.

Had a huge computer problem, some kind of virus that was very bad. My nephew was overhere from 7pm last night and just left at 6am, they had to save the files we had and then literally wipe everything else out and reload? Whatever that means.

Anyways, I have to figure out how to reconfigure my e-mail account so that will be down until I get that resolved.

We've got the week off from racing so I'm taking advantage of it. Fri have another birthday party to go to, then Sat. family reunion. I might try to make it to the track Sat. afternoon with brother in law since it's B.O.P. that day. Tryin to get everything ready for the World Series of Racing in Cordova Aug. 26-29.

The second vid was my first 10 second pass, running against out Mod. point leader, let up at the finish line and got the 10.999.

Thanks again Evil for hosting them and c-u-later for shooting them
