Timeslip Comparison

I just ran a 7.91 at my local track (1/8 mile) at 90mph with a 1.8 60ft on street tires. Does anyone have an idea of what this equals in the 1/4?

1/8 x 1.56 is only a close estimate but it's the one I use also. Each car is a little different but that will give you a number close enough as a guess. Some cars will run slightly faster, some slower. It depends on weather conditions and how well the car runs at top end.

Here's an equation developed by another board member that uses the 60' time as a correction factor.

1/4 mile ET = 1.7287*(1/8 ET) - 0.7392*(60' time)

I get the same answer with both formulas.

My 10.546 run comes out to 10.56 with both formulas.

The 1/8 mile time * 1.56 is a good one to use.

However, if you are like me and can't floor the car until about 40mph, it means zero. Or if you use nitrous in a higher gear (as opposed to off the line).
