305 shootin' for mid 13's
My mods are in my sig. My first time at the track I ran a 14.4 at 103 MPH with 2.3x 60' times. I was not happy (I know it is only a 305 but I really thought it would do better)
Since then I have installed an alcohol injection system, 27x11x15 slicks and have disconnected the front sway bar.
Now, prior to the alcohol system, my MSD-6BTM was pulling 20 degrees of timing at full boost. I hope now to be able run full timing.
So, next week I am going to run it again. Anyone want to guess the new times? Take a shot and I will post the actual times next week.
My hopes are 13.5s at 105 MPH.

13.5's at 105mph?? you should easily be able to hit that with 11psi on 305 and a cam....
get them 60 foots down into the 1.9's and see low low 13's at 105ish... with slicks, maybe you can hit some 1.7's and hit high high 12's.
i am doing 13.8 at 96 with no topend on a L98 stock TPI. that 105 trap speed i would think would be good for low low 13's

tons of people are running mid 13s on mild 305s with no supercharger. something doesn't seem right at all.

103 mph is good for like LOW 13's, if not high 12's. with a decent 60', which i don't think you'll have a problem getting some 1.7/1.6's out of her, i'd think you'd be well into the 12's. 105mph would be good for like 12.7's.
a bit off topic, but can you get me the part number to the lakewood 70/30 struts your running?

I ran it last night. It was 91 and humid, but the car ran pretty good.
60': 2.025
1/4: 13.81
1/4 MPH: 104.23
So I can see a big improvment over the last time out, plus the weather conditions were not as favorable as the first time out.
The best part of the night was when I raced a 2001 Camaro SS. My wife happened to be sitting by the friends of the guy driving the SS. She said they made some comments about the SS beating the third gen. Well, I won!! VIVA LA THIRD GEN!!!

Hmmm.. how bad are you spinning? What tires and launch method are you doing? That car should be noticeably quicker than mine with those mods. Although it was very hot, that trap speed shows room for quicker ET's though!

I found that I am getting alot of blow by. When I reach about 9 pounds of boost, my PCV valve blows out of the valve cover. I have not done a compression test, but I believe that my rings are shot. This is no supprise on the stock bottom end.

pssst, he's got 8 mph on you, that's like an additional 75hp. that mph is good for high 12's. which ain't too shabby if you ask me.
and i'm n/a and have 4mph over you and bonestock heads.
hope i'm not coming off like a jerk, just lettin you know. he is having more problems here than just the efi. if anything, it's helping his boosted application.
