based on my sig and

Based on my sig and the fact ive lost about 150 or 200 pounds, maybee a little more, from the original weight what time range should i be in.The local track doesnt have any scales so im not sure of my weight but i know ive lost atleast 150 lbs.I havent started on my suspension mods yet,And i know i need a better intake but i'm buying a house and moveing so THE MONEY IS ALL GONE for a while.Just wondering if anybody could give me any input.I'm fixin to start breaking in the engine so i havent even hardly drove it yet.Working out some bugs now.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Yeah I know my intake is holding me back and i know the flow junk headers arent very good but i figured they've got to be better tha n the stock manifold is and i diddnt have that much money to spend when I bought them.I was unaware they are 1.5" primaries instead of 1/58".I was missinformed but mainly i'm just ready to drive it so i just stuck them on there.NEW intake, headers, susspensionand trans upgrades comring soon,or sooner or later.Thanks.

they are really good for a mild 305...which is better than the stock manifolds...but not much.

i'd like to see a set of longtubes and custom y-pipe on there. much like this one i made for my buddy:

go ahead and get the suspension squared around, cause if you apply more power now, you'll have issues later. then do the longtubes.

hey man i was curious about the time you estimated for me on this thread a little while back.I'm pretty new to this racing and modding stuff but i'm seeing alot of people running mid 13's on 383's or more heavily modded engines than mine.Ones with better intakes, larger injecters and such.Just wondering if you or anybody out there could explain.Or, maybe someone else could give me there opinion.I'm not doubting your assesment, thinking maybe you missread something.Anywa, thanks for responding to my post,no one else did.By the way love your ride and respect what you're doing with the 305.Built this 350 all new everything for about the same price actually slightly less than i could have redone my 305 for. But, i still got mine and she was still running fine when i took her out.Thinking about starting rebuild on it for a back up or to put in my truck.thanks P.S.so you think long tubes before intake would yield more power, and which headers are you useing/recomend?

guys running low 13's with 383+ motors have one of two issues:
1. elevation and DA are not in their favor (ie living in colorado where the DA is in the 9000' range on any given day)
2. something is seriously amiss. either the car is not tuned right or there is a lack of traction or something.

as far as the 305 costing more than the 350, well, i had a 350 with everything in the motor that's in the 305 and the block cracked. i bought 1 piston(had 7 good pistons from a previous build) and a set of rings and swapped everything over (ie cam, heads, connecting rods, crank, bearings, timing chain, intake, carb, EVERYTHING) so i only put $200 into getting it running again. all i had to do was have the block honed and get the pistons swapped on the rods and i was in business. cost me more in machine shop labor than parts.
