Launching car at track with MT drag radials

Just a few questions. I have never taken the car to the track with the zz4. What PSI should I run the MT drag radials at and do they need a big burnout or just a little one. Also every body tells me to avoid the water box? Thanks for feedback.I have not ran the car since it ran 15.5 with the stock L69 so this should be a big learning experience for me.I will take it to the 1/8 track this time.

i run 18-20psi in mine depending on what's going on. for a burnout, i start in 1st and just get the tires hazing, then click into 2nd and bury the pedal (not all the way to the floor, but enough to keep the rpms ~4800-5000) then i kinda roll out of it. should be a 12-15 second process. if you have a full size tire up front, go around the water box, back in, spin the tires over just a little to get them damp, then roll about 2ft in front of the water so you don't go through more water after the burnout.

remember, the gas pedal is not an on/off switch, you'll want to roll into it quickly instead of just jabbing it.

I would try 16 psi do go in water box spin tires about 1-2 turns pull in front of water spin them till you see some smoke coming out of the wheel well pull forward while you lift off the throttel until it hooks pull up and stage. Work your way to about 14 psi if need be for more traction.
