Thanks guys,
well it was a normal day at track, first pass breaking up/surging
left on footbrake,
1.41 60ft
10.17 @ 134.3
Back to pits and no gears!
carter pin fell out of trans linkage, easy fix..
Second pass jetted up to 98/99s
left on transbrake 3800rpm.
1.42 hmmm, felt alot stronger
10.09 @ 135.5
Third pass
Cleaned fuel filter and removed screen filter from pump..
transbrake 4500 - nice view of sky!
Came down real hard and crushed some header tubes and bogged then felt
pretty ok rest of pass.
1.48 60ft "rear tires"
10.06 @ 136.2
Still using stock blown out struts - great for transfer, bad for stopping momentum of front end falling.. Next on list!
fourth pass.
Placed 3/8" hose on front bowl vent incase of fuel slosh..
1.40 60ft. 4000 transbrake
9.87 @ 137.8 whoo hoo, finally!
But still some slight surging..
Fifth pass
exact same technique and setup.
1.40
9.85 @ 137.8
And still surging
sixth pass
all same but about 10* colder
surging real bad..
1.41
9.95 @ 137.0
Seems to be a fuel deliver problem... need to hook guage back up, was stolen for trans am last year.
Deffinetly more in it soon as I get the problem figured out..
Think the car need to go back down in jet again, and maybe couple more degrees timing. still at 35 degrees.
xplended:
Everybody thought it hit, but i dont see any signs..
evil, agreed - forward not up - it was fun though..

Deffinetly alot of work to get it here! actually all work and no racing all year - but its finally together and running strong with a minor issue thats still costing me atleast 1/10 I think.
With some more work, I expect to go 9.6s - that was my goal when building and seems to be obtainable..
If it does hit a 9.6 then I may spray

Way to go Tom! I guess all that bad luck you had, made a turn for the good. It still sucked that you had to do everything more than once. I am glad everything worked out. I still can not get over how high that thing pulled the wheels!!! What kind of anti roll bar did you install, BTW?
swaybar kit"
Yeah Tom!
Was just telling people that I thought car was cursed! Even day before
put long wheel studs in front, well the weld wheels are getting smashed around lug holes - so when trying to wind in 2 of them, little chunks of aluminum got on threads and jammed the new lugs on the new studs ultimately breaking them.. Ahhhhgggggg
Also when thirdmember back in 9", the tq arm braket does not line up with holes, so bolts need to be started with bracket not against rear and pulled in.. well for got about that and tried to start last bolt with 2 other tightened. same thing, it started x threaded..
Thank you moser!
But short of long story - its finally gave back!!
Trevor, yes it was direct head wind all day!
Thanks for noticing. guess you saw flag?

LOL, no!
Did not really bother me one bit, but after I landed I almost forgot to shift
lol.. And had A big concerned grin on my face..
It was a facial expression that says "Really hope I did not smash oil pan, but if I did it was fun" Watched Oil rest of trip till I got back to pits..
Anyone have any recomendations for adjustable struts?

So that adjustment controls both extention and rebound?
So softest would transfer quick, but come down quick as well?
Do they tranfer quick?? Like a 90/10 would?

it would definately transfer quick. when you press down on the car it moves alot more than when its on stiff. but u can feel it come up quick when u do throttle mashes. so i guess the adjusment controls both extension and rebound.
i have no idea tho how they would handle a big wheelie stand tho. its a good street shock, that can be used for all kinds of racing. your lookin for a drag shock, possibly one with adjustability.
