yet another "how much power" and " what times do you think ill run" thread...

Alright guys....its getting that time again.....the 385 getting the final tune (i hope).....mods are in sig....will be getting 3" exhaust after the tune.....either magnaflow or hooker......kinda leaning towards hooker though...anyways opinions? I am thinking around 370-385 rwhp and 400ftlbs torque? and et times of 12.2-11.9 depending on launch?

I think 370-385 RWHP is a bit optimistic. Might hit your ET target, though, depending upon vehicle weight.

The weight you use should be as going down the track - with driver and fuel. My Camaro weighed 3560 in that config last week according to the track scale - no GFX, w/AC, 3/4 tank fuel, trunk emptied.

What combo produced the 311 RWHP?

FWIW, I haven't had it on a dyno, but various calculator formulas puts the '57 at around 335 RWHP sea level based on 1/4 mile performance.

The combo I have now produced that. But I kept the stock injectors for some reason (think I had a brain fart) but that is getting taken care of this weekend. I wish I had that dyno sheet handy but will be posting up a new one after the dyno tune.

The cam seems pretty small for that kind of power. Thats about what I made on a Mustang Dyno.

In your original post you said the combo you are going to is in your sig. Saying the combo you have now is what produced the dyno number doesn't tell us what the combo you have now is.

Or, are the injectors the only thing changing from what you have now to the combo in your sig?

I kinda doubt you're going to get 60-75 HP from an injector change.

Probably, unless you're currently very under-injected or horribly mis-tuned.

Could happen, then, because HP > torque above 5252 RPMs.

(I just get jealous when SB's are putting more power to the ground than my Baby Rat. . . )
