Intake swap results

I switched out intakes to gain some hood clearence and et. went from a Holley keath dorton strip dominator with a 2'' adaptor for a 4500 carb to a motown 4500 intake. I went out to the track early last night put down 5 pass in 2.5 hrs first pass cold I went 10.001 at a 135.58mph and the last pass was a 9.91 at 136.19mph my best et before was a 9.95 and best mph was 134.27 so the conclusion intake was worth about 20-30 hp just need to find the new shift points also 60ft times best with old manifold 1.37 new 1.35 I was done racing and loaded up at 9:15 last night and watching every one else race from the stands.
PS: I know im lucky to live in south Fl.

Re: Intake swap results

That's not a very good comparison unless the intake swap is done on the same day. Comparing results on different days means nothing unless you have all the weather conditions factored in. Your results may actually be worse than before but better weather conditions make it look better.

Re: Intake swap results

It may not have been on the same day but I have run the car enough to know what it runs it's like running a bracket car so the 2 mph gain is what I am using as a reff point.
