This really sucks

I went racing a few weekends ago, and I have all that rubber behind the wheel on the body. I have tried washing with water, and then with soap, and used several different brushes and yet its still on there. What is everyone doing to remove the rubber from there car, or do you leave it on there?

Re: This really sucks

wd40. spray it on, let it soak for a minute and it will turn the rubber to goo. wipe off, repeat. It usually takes a few rounds to get it all off. Next time you go to the track spray a little pam non stick spray on the quarterpanel.

Spray on wax works before you go back also.

Thanks. I just noticed it myself. It took almost a day to propagate through the system. After I posted it, my messages were still seeing the old picture even when I used a different machine. I usually change it about once a year.

WD40 and tire rubber is one of the "Hundreds of uses for WD40". Racers have know about it for years. It's amazing some of the stuff WD40 can do. Loosening seized nuts is far down on the list.
