metal
Same as any other f-body

a little more depending if it was a 305 or 350
stiffer springs but not dropped.
I think you're expecting an IROC to be something special. It's a fancy name that was used for a few years replacing the Z28. Although cosmetically there were some differences between models, mechanically they were the same. IROC's came with a few more performance options that typical cars like RS , LT etc didn't have.
I think the answers you want can only be answered by GM and I doubt you'd get any better results from them. They won't even tell you why they change a simple fitting to another simple fitting.
Read through the f-body FAQ. If it's not in there then you'll have to contact GM.

The specs I know of for the 1984 IROC series race cars that GM modeled the appearance of the poduction 85 IROC-Zs from are as follows:
Body All fiberglass manufactured by Diversified Glass Products.
Chassis Banjo Mathews Grand National tube chassis, fully adjustable for ride height and weight distribution.
Front Suspension Banjo Mathews designed unequal length control arms. Monroe hydraulic shocks
Rear Suspension Banjo Mathews coil spring, solid axle, hydraulic panhard rod.
Brakes Hurst/Airheart 4 wheel vented discs, 12.2" X 1.4".
Rear Axle Winters or Stock Car Products quick change, 3.90:1 for road courses, 3.50:1 for oval courses.
Wheels & Tires 15" X 9.5" Weld Wheels. Goodyear Eagle Grand National tires, 27" X 11".
Fuel Cell 33 gallons.
Transmission & Clutch Tilton Engineering triple disc clutch. Borg Warner Super T-10 four speed trannie.
Engine Small block Chevy prepaired by Katech Inc.
Displacement 355 CI
Bore X Stroke 4.00" X 3.50"

Exhaust Hedman 1 3/4" headers Side exit pipes, no mufflers.
Ignition MSD T6.
Weight 3350 Lbs.
Wheelbase 108".
Horsepower Tuned to 420 HP ±5 HP @7000 RPM.
Torque400 lbs/ft @4800 RPM
Top Speed 158 at Michigan, 179 at Talladega
Acceleration 0-60, 4.9 seconds.
¼ mile, 12.4 - 13.4 depending on gearing.
I'm not sure about the actual angle & size of the rear spoiler, but it was at aproximately the same angle and shape as the production spoiler but was about 4"-5" high, and had an adjustable height extension on the back to increase total height to around 6"-7".
