Re: Forgive me
I'm sure you coated them then. As nice as your whole setup is. Looking forward to see how well these fit. Never looked into how much the cone helps with the scavenging and all that.

Re: Forgive me
The stangs(fox body especially) most definitely have a stronger aftermarket than 3rd/4th gen f-bodies. No doubt about that.
My headers are home built MS that I sand blasted & sprayed with the VHT "aluminum" header paint. - Most everyone thinks they're coated and it has held up great(even with some EGT's that would scare most people.......lite'n them candles baby!)

Re: Forgive me
Thank you for the idea, I was going to use the black VHT, but if that color looks good and holds up, perfect. Any pics of them after time and abuse has hit them?

Re: Forgive me
Nothing straight at them but here's the couple I could find, after a couple years now with n20.
With the blower motor intially mocked up -

They get a little scratched up sometimes when we have the motor out for something so I touch them up occassionally, but no full re-sprays as of yet. - They definitely need to be well prepped/clean when you apply it. I sprayed the headers that we got with the mustang, just scratched up with a scotch-brite pad and sprayed them,it started flaking off after a while. When I re-worked them to be side exits I sand blasted them & sprayed them again, has held up great since.

Re: Forgive me
That's is perfect. I have a sand blaster, so it shall be done.
Thank you very much for the tip fellas. I am not making a show car by no means. It want the headers to last.

Re: Forgive me
Well, these cars sheet metal work is just sad. The floor pan has a pretty nice crack where the seat mounts. Just another thing in the to fix list. Anyway, started fixing rust holes before I tackle the TA. But the engine for the stang will be back at my house soon with the Trans for the TA. Got too much work to do.
