My permit and Cascade Crewser

I got my permit on friday. now I'm on the road scarin' the crap out of my mom I think that I should be made the Cascade Crew mascot since I'm the youngest peson in the crew and don't have a car. My idea is that you help me buy a camaro and make look nice and go fast and I put a CLASSY little something that says it's part of cascade crew on it. Just an idier.

I was gonna vote for "My money ya little brat", but thought I should give ya some support!
Congrats on the permit, I remember when I got mine.......my Dad was going nuts.....I don't know who was more scared....Him or ME???! LOL... If you would like some help on choosing your car, just get the details and pics if you could, of any cars you are interested in, and post em on CC. I'm sure we would all love to put our .02 cents in on which car we think is the better buy. How's that sound??

The little something that says cascade crew could be my license plate it would say

CSCADCRU

As for cars I just found these in the classifieds

#1CHEVY 1986 Camaro IROC Z28, Red, T-top, AT, AC, PW, 77K orig. miles, Good Condition, $2,600 OBO.

2#CHEVY 1986 Camaro; V-6, 5 spd. Must sell. Runs good looks great. $2,000 OBO (will only buy if it has t-tops)

#3CHEVY 1987 IROC Camaro Z28, custom wheels, new tires, V-8, studded snow tires on Camaro wheels incl., runs and drives excellent. Needs paint, $2200 OBO.

What I'm looking for is a straight V8 camaro (preferably 87-92) t-tops a must, and a 5-speed if not a 350. would love to have L98

Hey! Don't overlook all the good deals on the Firebird and TransAms and Formulas out there! Personally, I've ALWAYS liked the look of the Pontiac lines vs. the Chevy lines, they just plain LOOK better!

t-tops a must
I guess you LIKE getting rained on??!!
If I can help it, I'll NEVER get another T-top car! Had 3 of them, all different types, they ALL leaked! (One had brand new seals on it too )

Good luck!

T-tops are the only way to go, unless you go all the way and get a convertible!!! Neither of my T-top cars leak, and yours shouldn't either if you adjust the tops as per the tech article on this site, or the service manual.

I can drive mine! Next to a cop even! :lala:

Lance, all of mine WERE adjusted! I even brought the last one to a place that specializes in t's and they could only say that some do, some don't! Well, 3 strikes, no more tries!! If I want nothing over my head, I'll go for the whole convertible! After I get enough money that is!

Although, I have heard good things about the 4th gen t's, supposed to be the best design yet, no leaks INHERENTLY in that design... hmmm, we'll see!

Payce, aight!

Ok, I meant that I could drive by him/her and not get a ticket for loud/no exhaust! I guess that one didn't go over so well! Sorry!

NEway, hopefully soon, I can get the front brake hoses and MC replaced and system bled.

Maybe I'll be able to put on a good rear swaybar soon too!!

glad to hear you got your permit. i remember when i got mine, still have it in my wallet in fact. scared the hell out of my mom a couple of times, but nothing major. do you have to take drivers ed now? or do you just get the licence as soon as you turn 16? the way to get the licence in idaho is pretty weird, but then again most of the things that happen in idaho are pretty weird, especially the people, or natives as i call them.

I had to take drivers ed. before I could use my permit, but technically I got it at the beginning of summer.

Now my mom isn't letting me drive because she's not sure if I have to be insured to drive with a permit.

i don't think so

when i got my permit i didn't need to have any "special" insurance, my dad just payed the insurance as normal, but when i got my licence the insurance went up. but when i had mu permit i lived in colorado, idaho is weird they probably have some rule/law that no one knows about regaurding the inusurance.

btw, this is really farked up but here again this is idaho. my insurance runs my pop about $700 per year. i'm 19 and have had my licence for about 2 1/2 years. my sister just got her licence and it only runs her $15 per month. why? you ask. she gets good grades in school while my grades sucked. but the thing of it is, i'm a much better driver than my sis, she scares the hell out of me when i ride with her. but since she gets good grades, her insurance is affordable. so if you get good grades your insurance will actually be affordable.

but what can you expect from a state that gives you 5-life for getting oral sex? telling you man, this state is retarded.

yeah it is. Stupid crime against nature law. What pisses me of is that males have higher insurance than females no matter what. I get ok grades, but just short of the good grades discount. If my teachers didn't **** me off I would have had the 3.0 to get the discount, but I can't blame them for it. It's my fault that when a teacher makes me mad I stop working in the class for a while. If I didn't do that I would have a 4.0. On the topic of school I should be taking an auto tech class this year. It is a 4 credit year long class that takes up 2 hours a day and it isn't even at the school. I get to go to a technical center. I hate my school. It was made for 1500 people but there is going to be something like 2300 next year

ok I'm done rambling:lala: :lala: :lala:

I was joking about the donations. There is thirdgen content. My parents initially were going to buy the car, but they spent all the money that they had saved for it so I am getting a job soon to pay for the car.

You'll appreciate the car a whole lot more if you have to work to pay for it. Maybe you can get your parents to help you with the insurance.

one more thing

be warned psycomaross when you get your licence everyone wants/needs a ride....... EVERYONE!!!! it's kind of a mixed blessing when i got my licence. now i can go to the movies without bumming a ride, but on the other hand i get the esteemed privlage of karting everyone around, while I get to buy the gas to taxi everyone hither and yawn. just something to think about if you have a younger brother or sister, or if any of your buddies can't drive yet.
