Need Help Asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a call from the shop and they said my rearend is totaly screwed and will cost $1495 to build it up with everything. I cant afford quit that much. Does anyone have a rearend for sale with discs, posi and good gears for racing and fuel economy?

PonchoTA: I might have to go with your car. We might have to work out a better price though otherwise i will just go with the shop. U wouldn't wanna take maybe a grand plus an Xbox, 7games, 2controllers and DVD package would u??

NEED TO KNOW ASAP..

Thanks,

just what exactly is "screwed" in it? Last I checked, my Eaton posi cost me about $500 CANADIAN, and gears were about $300 CANADIAN (after tax)..

Well....The ring and pinion, gears, posi, axle, bearings, and seal were all destroyed. Hopefully i should have my car back sometime today so i can see the difference of 2.77 to 3.73

Wow. Too bad about the rear.

Mine has a warranty too, btw! With the discs already, about the same price.

I don't play video games, so that wouldn't have helped, but I could have split up the amount to pay the other 500 later...

yeah comes with everything, lube and even a possible speedo recalibration if needed. Well i guess the reason the rear is so bad was because its been running low on gear oil for quit some time, i just didn't notice untill it was too late.
