Ya... looks like a problem at the hosting company we have had a few times before. I'm sure John or Jess will be working on it this evening.

Sorry for the issues guys. I started working with them at about 10am this morning.

We are.

And I just had the worst customer service experiance I have ever had. I am on hold right now, trying to get thru to a supervisor.

Krazzy, what domain are you using? I am going point out that another site besides ours had issues. I am going to rip someone a new ******* after the service I received.

If you want to see what I went thru, here is the transcript from the chat session I had with their support. Note , that it took 50 minutes for this whole chat to transpire, that is how bad he was at responding to me.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.

Samuel P.: Please allow me some time to check .
Samuel P.: I am successfully able to login to phpMyadmin
John: Yes I know that. While I spent 30 minutes waiting for you, this all started working
John: I'm trying to find out what WAS wrong.
Samuel P.: I would like to suggest you to please use the username and the password which you have in your account setup letter.
John: I can get into this all now, everything is working
John: I want to know if you had issues on your end, that would have prevented me from accessing the myphpadmin pages, and to also keep my site from access the SQL database properly
Samuel P.: Is there anything else I can help you with?
John: YES.
John: I have been down for almost 12 hours this week.
John: I think that I deserve an explanation as to why this is.

I am on the phone now. They are saying our two issues are unrelated. I'm getting a ticket escalated up beyond normal support. You might want to have you admin call them about this issue. Have them refrence the ticket for cascadecrew.org if they feel the need.

Our is back up and running also. It was only down for about 30 minutes tonight. It was down for about 10 hours on thursday though. One of the SQL admins is supposed to be calling me either tomorrow or monday.

I'll also add. I am looking thru the log files from both Thursday and today. Ask your admin if google was spidering your site at around 8:07am on thursday. I noticed it looked like google spidered our site then. I don't know why it would have taken 10 hours for that to finish, but a bot checking the site, may have done enough traffic to generate 50000 SQL questions.
