marine 5.7 vortec

So I have a 1999-2000 Volvo Penta 57gsi pefs vortec roller motor. It is not reverse rotation and I have the cam spec but not with me. I took my heads in and had bigger springs done and 2.02 1.60 valves done. I plan to do 1.6 rocker arms. I know that I will need a vortec intake that will accommodate my carburetor. Sooooo..... here are my questions.

1. I have read that aside from some differences with the cooling veins in the heads, block and freeze plugs the only major thing different is the cam? what about the crank and piston rods?

2.If there is something I have overlooked and the block will not be suitable will the vortec heads work on a car/truck block.

3.Is the bolt pattern different on the intake?

4.Will my water pump accommodate a standard car/truck pulley system?

Please bare in mind this is my first build of any sort, and I have done a lot of research, but am still green on things. I feel pretty good about where I'am at on the engine but it is not in the car yet, and don't want any surprises when it does go in. I got the block for next to nothing and have very little into it at this point. I can still sell it and go a different direction but I would really like to see it work.

Thanks for any feedback

Vortec heads and a standard intake won't go together and vice versa. Make sure you get a pushrod checker and get the correct length for your new rockers. I would recommend a steel roller tip rocker.
