Can you help keep an eye out?

Curtis is looking to purchase a truck. I thought maybe if one of you saw what he was looking for you might be able to help us out.

BTW: We sold Colty! Remember, the lil white thing that lead us to Ocean Shores?

Anyways, here's what Curtis is looking for:

GMC or Chevy. Late 88 (with the side by side headlights) or newer. 1 ton dually, king or club cab, 4x4, 454, around $100k miles or engine rebuilt or replaced. Canopy optional.

Price range up to $10k. We've been looking and found a few trucks, but not "the one". So, thought I'd ask ya'll to keep that in the back of your mind.

Thanks.

You try picking up a truck trader yet? I'll keep an eye out but don't think I'll see anything like that arround here.

Thanks Jesse. Yup. We've got both truck traders and been searching ebay, autotrader.com, etc. Plus the local lots. We're on a mission.

Are you willing to come down to central or souther oregon to pick it up? I have a friend in the used car buisness that will get anything you want. The catch is you'll have to pick it up here or in Eugene. It goes without saying, as is no warranty. His prices are real good, usually less the wholesale book.

I looked on littlenickel for ya and heres what came up so far...

1988 CHEVY 4x4 3/4 ton Silverado, $5,000 360-794-7379

1992 CHEV Silverado extended cab 3/4 ton, AC, PD, PW, tilt, cruise, AM/FM Cassette $11,000. 425-844-8691

1992 CHEVY 3/4 Ton Silverado 4x4, Ext cab, black with new matching canopy & bedliner, new transmission, new CD player, well-maintained, great truck, $10,000. 425-337-8011

Those looked decent but you have to make up your mine.... Dually or 4x4 with duallies you dun get the 4WD option cause you already got the 4 in the back hehehe

Yes, we are willing to travel into oregon. Any excuse to get down there.

Demon-Curtis wants a one ton for sure. And the dually's come with 4x4, you just have to find em.

Thanks for looking!

not for $10k they don't hon... my mom was looking (and still is actually hehe)

1 tons are more commonly found as 4 door cabs, duallies, no 4 wheel drive (ok so theres 4 back wheels, hehe I guess that counts for something)

they're not as fun to drive though... nor are they as easy to drive hehe

but i'll keep an eye out last one i found that was an 88+ was 15k with 175k miles and that was a couple of months ago ... so I'll letcha know if anything comes up (one of the advantages of living in this shythole... people drive trucks!!)

I've got a friend here with a black '91(?) extended cab 4x4 dually with a 500Hp 502 in it with Arizona Speed and Marine injection system and DFI controller. He just mentioned to me yesterday that he was going to put it back to the stock 454 and sell it. It has a tan interior and he smokes. I can dig further if it interests you.

Is he looking to sell the ASM fuel injection separately or the injection and engine together. If so how much? I may be interested if he is. The 502hp version would be waaaaay cooler than the 440 horse

It is sweet, but he's keeping the engine combo and putting it in his '65 Chevelle. Why don't you just buy my 468 and kill them all? Huh? What kind of an excuse you got for yourself???

Without looking I'll bet $10 (ya, it's not much ) that my cam is more mild then the 502/502. The blower is doing all the work.

Have curtis call 541-331-2600. Thats Floyd's cell#. He owns Cowboy auto sales and can get whatever you want from the auto auctions. He goes to the eugene sale almost every week and his partner has been going to reno alot lately. He is usually real easy to deal with. I do know he has an 87 3/4 ton Suburban 4X4 for $4500 right now, looks good too. I think he's also thinking of selling his 87(?) 2-wheel drive 4-door 1 ton. 6.2 diesel, TH400(fresh rebuild) $6000.
