THE POST
THE POST
OK, here is the post you have all been waiting for, the post about the gathering down here in the large town of Langlois.
Ill break this down so no one gets confused or anything.
THE DATES
August 23rd - when you guys wanna go home
THE GOALS
Burn some rubber, meet everyone and get to know them better, terrorize the locals, enjoy the pacific rain forest, and anything else we can come up with.
The main idea for me for this gathering, is the word.. CHEAP. The camping is free, and basically, the expenses will be spent on gas, and food.
BRING
Food stuff of some sort, kinda a potluck type of thing I think would work the best. (I know Aaron has a TON of Pepsi
) I may be able to get my hands on a few Salmon, cross your fingers on that!
Tent, or whatever you want to sleep in. If you are sleeping in a tent, I suggest a foam mattress just in case.
Clothes - Dress for both warm, and cold. It can get cold here at night, with the wind and such. It probably wont get hotter than 75-80 while you guys are here, but, since we will be camping by the river, bring something to swim in. Kara can vouch for the rivers quality
SCHEDULE
This is a very loose idea of what I have planned. I want this to be a relaxing gathering so nothing super stressful. If you guys want places to do car stuff, I.E. drag racing, or canyon carving, we can do that. There are plenty of places for the best group shots any 3rd Gen F-body board has ever seen, and we will visit those places for sure.
I was thinking a cruise along the coast on Hwy 101 for one thing that can last a larger portion of the day. Im open to suggestions of course.
OTHER INFO
The camp spot were we will be has bathrooms, so you guys wont have to worry about that. Other than it, its camping. If you must have a hotel (then you suck
) but, if you do, then, I can get numbers for you to call to find out pricing and such. Im going to go up a few days in advance.. probably with Andy, and reserve the spots, so they will be waiting for us when everyone gets in town.
As far as meeting people goes, I think we can get that sorted out when we all figure out who is gonna be here, and when they will be here!
Well, thats it for now. Bring on the questions and such!

Okay Joe , I'll brake it to you. I cant come early anymore.
The only way that I'd beable to go is that I get work off on the 24th , 25th , 26th. I think that won't be a problem.
I couldnt come early cause it's my girlfriends birthday on the 23rd.
If I do go I'll leave late on the 23rd and drive at night or leave early the 24th.And coming back... I'd have to leave early on the 26th cause I got school the next day. Whaaooo collage.
So right now , If I can get the work off , consider me in.

OK, here are a few maps I found and edited just so you know where I am. If you guys have a Map of Oregon, look for "Denmark" or Langlois. I live about 2.2 miles from Langlois, but, if you are able to find a map with Denmark, thats me exactly. I live in the middle of no where. Which isnt to bad, because you dont need to worry about someone breaking into your car and such.
Driving Directions - sorta - Since almost everyone is coming from up north, you want to get on I-5, and just drive toward Eugene, and keep going, the exit you get off I-5 takes you onto 38, and then from 38 to 101. Im about 15 miles from Bandon, and about 15 miles from Port Orford. Once we figure out more about who is coming and when, we can set up a meeting place.
On to the Maps!!

Also, if you guys are using the web for directions, my Zip code is 97450 and address is 46968 Hwy 101.
Questions?

I have a passenger seat available if anyone doesn't want to drive their own car down, and if you are actually willing to get into the same vehicle as me
Just kiddin'. I'm a real safe driver.
You'll need to bring your own tent or whatever (unless you are a single woman in which case I'm certain accomodations can be made
Yeah I know... like thats gonna happen), food, and split the gas money. You also need to be able to live with my timeframe.
If anyone's interested, let me know.
