I use to be a constant poster over at nethirdgen.org when I lived in Ohio, but now I live in the Eugene, OR area and trying to get back into the groove.....right now I'm having all sorts of problems with my car...but that is all a side note as part of my introduction...

I was driving out to the airport last night and saw a camaro pulled over by a cop (my guess is speeding) it was a side street off a main road that goes off river road...it was a black camaro....88 or later I think (tail light in the spoiler)...just curious...I was riding in a red focus so I would also like to say hi to the black camaro (different one) that followed us to into the airport parking lot.....I'm here and from what it looks like now to stay....If anyone out there wants to help me work on my car for beer....I'm buying

Welcome to the crew.

To my knowledge your the only representitive from Eugene so the chances of finding out who got pulled over last night aren't good. You do have some CC members close by in the Salem/Portland/Vancouver areas so we're still not to far away.

On a side note, Any body been thinking about a Portland gathering in May? Lance, Stephanie, either of you want to host? This would be a great time to start thinking about it so everybody could make thier best efforts to attend.

That would be great to have one in portland, i can't really host it, but if a couple of people need a place to crash, i have 2 couches, one is a hide-a-bed. so a couple of people can crash at my place

It's kind of odd that there is no one else in the Eugene area with the sheer number of camaros in the area....I had better luck finding info in ohio and there wa a much much much smaller number of camaros there......I lived a mile from a ford factory if that tells you anything....In ohio I still have a v6 84 sc with a dying engine..hence why it is still in ohio..here I have a v8 86 sc..both cars have t-tops...the problem's I am having are two (one is sheer laziness and I'll be the first to admit it) is the that the fan relay doesn't work so the fan doesn't come on...so I need to hook up a relay switch instead of hooking it to a power wire in the engine compartment eveytime I go some where.....secondly it continually stalls when I first start it up and drive down the road....I'll hit the gas to accel. and the rpm's just drop and stalls....then I'm stuck in the middle of the road with a stalled car...luckily it turns over right away usually....

I'd be up for a gathering in May.

Welcome to the crew! Even though its a 4 hour drive I might be down in the area sometime very soon to get my new car.

Welcome to the crew man. Im about 2 1/2 - 3 hours from you.

As for the stalling problem, it could be your choke might need adjustment. Are you running the stock Q-Jet, or a aftermarket carb? I dont claim to know alot about carbs because once I got rid of my 82 Z28, I lost my tool for experimenting with carb tuning

Try to lean out the carb a little more. If you haven't already adjusted it since the move you will definatly need to adjust the mixture and possibly rejet if it's not the original carb.

Or the simple solution, always let the car warm up before you try to drive off.
