Gathering Ideas.....

Well, since people might miss the gathering talk in Woodys post, I figured I would start a new one.

So, lets toss out ideas. Since its not the summer, Im guessing because of peoples work schedules this would have to be a *weekend gathering* I could probably make it really anytime as long as I have enough notice.

I think the tinting idea in Vancouver would be a good place since we have alot of newer members in that area and it would be a great opportunity to meet everyone.

Well, lets toss out ideas!

How much is it for the window tinting? I would like to attend but i may be installing the new motor. Also, does anyone know if i can use a larger ring gear in my stock rear end? I'm affraid that I may blow the stock one up?

I'll be up for a gathering, but we are gonna have to find someplace indoors to do most of it, or at least under cover being it is October! Too bad I'll be coming in a minivan if it is anytime soon, or maybe a brand new (to me) Firebird.
BTW, weekends are good for me, I can probably dump most of my weekend stuff to make a gathering.

I wonder if the Hillcrest drive-in is still open at this time of year. I'd love to see that place full of Thirdgen's.

Now that is an idea I fully support! You guys up in that area would know places we could do things. A show and shine type thing would be cool, kind of a park and BS type of thing, maybe a cruise, but the drive in would be awesome!

I would need at least a 6 week notice (Unless it's on a day I have off) or I'd have to take vacation. Something about a work policy (Bullsh*t) if you ask me. I can drive longer distances now that I have a 5 speed. The TH350 would tach to 4 grand on the freeway. That's a bit hard on the motor going long distances. Hey Crusader, what rearend gears do you have? My 3:42's are a bit low for my T5. I'm always shifting. Doesn't make driving it as much fun as I thought it would be.

350 .060 over, XE268H Comp cam, Edlebrock
Performer Intake and Edlebrock 600 CFM Carb,
Pete Jackson noisy GearDrive (which sounded
cool for about 5 minutes, now I'm sick of it)
Rebuilt TH350, 3.42 Rear Gears. LCA RLB's.
B&M Mega Shifter.
Now has T5 in it. YES!!!
CenterForce Dual Friction Clutch.

3.27's They are pretty nice, 3.42's must feel good with a 5 speed and a V8 though. I'm pretty sure my tranny has the .63 5th so 60MPH is a nice ~1600 RPM

LMAO, ok, once we figure out where he is then we can go from there. I dont know if I would be able to make it to BC actually.. heh.

But, there was also talk of a Vancouver/Portland gathering in May... why not push that closer to now?

60 MPH for me is 2600. But that's still much better than 4000 with the TH350.
I haven't even got it to 4000 since the T5. Don't want to risk getting another ticket. I got that center plate in the mail today. I guess I'll put my console back together today. $60 OUCH! But it's nice and the leather is all good.

Because in May I'll have the BBC in the car, running and that would be a good chance to show it off.

When does everyone Christmas break start? Would could still do it over a weekend, but it would make it easier on students who have to drive a good distance to Vancouver, WA (those Canadians)
Mine starts like the 7th, but I will probably be flying to Florida for a long weekend w/ my dad and uncle (heheheh, having an uncle w/ a house in FL rocks!!). Anyway, we still need a place, and if we do it in December we really need it to be indoors!

I've got 1 exam on the 4th, 2 on the 7th, and one on the 10th. So I'll be recovered from the after exam partying by the 15th I figure.
