Power Tour?

I was reading on another thread and it said something about Power Tour 2003. When will we know more about the details on this? Sounds like fun!

Well, it started out as a joke to go out and see Qwktrip out in Illinois, but then people liked the idea... so who knows.

I agree, it would be fun. Who knows if it would ever happen.

If we can swing it, it'll be sometime in 2003

Spring or Fall, if I'm going to have any chance to go. Figuring out a compatable time for the majority of seriously interested people will be like 2/3 of the battle.

Rule #1. Never joke about a gathering with these guys.

I learned that the hard way, I was the guy who started the whole power tour thing. I think it's still in the joke stage but the way the crew is about gatherings don't rule out the possibility.

It's starting to pick up momentum...

Power tour - link up with other regional groups and see which one turns out to be the largest gathering. I understand that not all of the regions get together as much as we do but this could be a catalyst. If other regions jump on board we can host when they roll in.

Maybe we pick 2 or 3 for the first tour. Would be hard to spend the time required for the whole USA. These are the things that goals are made of!

Commemorative CC stickers for each annual tour. Pictures of the crew at National Monuments.

... Honey, I'm going to go hang out with the crew... be back in a little while... :lala:

It would be a blast i am sure, but i get bitched at enough for a weekend thing. second i am not sure if a LO3 qualifies for a "power" tour and it would be expensive, and require at least a week off of work.

not to mention, what do we do with the car that breaks down in wyoming?

I think the idea to pick up additional groups along the way is pretty cool.

You just don't have enough fun then! I towed home my El Camino with the rear axle hanging loose. I've towed home the Vette 3 times - once absolutely covered in dirt. I never towed home the Firebird but that's just because I drove it broken. And I can guarantee I'll be towing home the Firebird some time in the future with something shattered or snapped.

No kidding. I paint a little picture of a tow truck on the side of my car each time I break it. Kind of like an old WWII fighter I also put a notch in my shifter for each Mustang and ***** I beat. And I'm not saying what all the garters around the rear view are for

Use it for shelter!

Who knows, we could hit Snow in the Spring easily, there was snow in Laramie in July, then two days later, it was 70.

Anywho, name a time, and Im there.

Thats right, Im officially 100% game, and commited for a 2003 Power Tour!

So, who else?
